Untold Story (2026)

I can not believe this is a free game, it rivals any game that I paid for. There is so much to do and you will not get bored. I love that is has a quest log to keep everything straight. You can tell the developer put a lot of love and passion into the game. I like that it has a couple modes of getting around to make traveling to all the locations a breeze. I like the story line that keeps you in suspense with twists and turns you didn't see coming. The developer is quick to fix any bugs that arise. it is rpg maker I believe but done so well. Lots of stuff to find and secret places. there are logs for everything you find and collect. The concoction option to make stuff. Each character has cool skills. This game did not disappoint if you are on the fence about playing just due it you will enjoy it. Very fun and well done game.

Too much talking in the game. I played for four hours and have explored 3 towns. I would estimate at least 2 hours of that was talking to other characters or the main character talking to himself. The phrase purple pirates has appeared at least 15 times and I'm sick of it - I know who they are and what they do after the first time, Glad it was free. I won't be returning to this game - bored now..

Wish there was a way to have the attack go back to the previous option used, having to constantly scroll each characters attack is boring, long and tedious. Also, the screen fade between acts shouldn't take more than a few seconds, on my pc it takes over a minute. I don't wanna hear any garbage of update your pc, when it has a 3050ti and can play skyrim and fallout 4 on max graphics in HDR.

Untold Story is the kind of RPG I can tell was made by someone who really likes old school party based games. I play as Rover Wilson, who gets pulled away from home after a strange event and ends up trying to find his friends while slowly getting dragged into a much bigger story. It has that classic 2D fantasy RPG look, but there is clearly a lot more going on underneath it. I am exploring towns and dungeons, meeting people, taking quests and building up a party, and the whole thing feels much more focused on the characters and world than I expected from a free game. The combat is probably the part I find most interesting. Each character gets one action per turn, but I get to choose the order they act in and decide what each one does. Every action uses Energy, so I cannot just keep throwing out the strongest skills whenever I want. Some characters are good at exploiting weaknesses, others can inflict status effects or change the battlefield, and I can swap party members during a fight as long as I have not already used that character's action. I really like having to think about the order of my actions because even a normal battle can become much easier when I put the right charac…

Absolutely love this creative, story rich RPG. I'm so reluctant to complete the final chapter as i don't want the journey to end. Still have some quests i have left to find/ solve and am missing the locations of a couple of conversations but I guess I need to grab the bull by the horns and go back to the game. Honestly one of, if not the best RPG I have played for many years, and unbelievably free. Top that of with a super responsive dev, and you have a must have for all fans of this genre. A great game with a story that makes you feel for the characters. I can tell that a lot of effort was put into making it. Great job!
