I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…2 found this helpful
Vagrant Hearts 2, developed and published by Warfare Studios, continues the series’ commitment to a traditional, story-focused RPG experience, building directly on the foundation established in its predecessor. It picks up with returning characters and expands the scope of its world, aiming to deliver a more layered narrative centered on conflict, loyalty, and the consequences of past events. While the intention to deepen the story is clear, the overall experience feels more like an extension of what came before rather than a meaningful evolution. The gameplay remains firmly rooted in classic RPG Maker design. Players explore towns, travel through overworld paths, and delve into dungeons while engaging in turn-based battles that rely on familiar mechanics such as basic attacks, magic skills, and item management. The system is accessible and easy to grasp, making it suitable for players who prefer a straightforward approach to combat. However, this simplicity also limits its staying power. Battles rarely introduce new layers of strategy, and enemy encounters tend to follow predictable patterns, which can make the experience feel repetitive as it progresses. While progression system…
According to my notes that are many years old, this was something I really failed to get into. Not surprisingly, I suppose. I recently tried to give the first one another shot, but nope.. Didn't dig it. I'm not making an attempt here, and instead will just stick to my old notes that just say "It's like the first one, mildly worse. I should have tacos."
It's better than the first one, but there are still a few odd bugs. I also noticed a few spelling mistakes. It's not a bad game, though! 😊
This is a short sequel to Vagrant Hears. The game can be a tiny bit buggy, so save often. It ends in a cliffhanger suggesting a sequel might be coming. It would be nice to have closure, but it does not appear this will happen. I do recommend playing the entire 3 game series.
