I've tired of this game. Hope to finish it someday, but not now. Despite the many things I like about it, don't recommend. I believe that making game difficult makes the requirements for the mastery of design much higher. This game is difficult and though some places are fun in their challenge, the deeper you are in the game - the more fun is sucked off. You just constantly replaying the every stage from checkpoint to checkpoint because of some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ designing decision. Like flying bugs constantly penetrating you while you trying to climb and climbing is ♥♥♥♥ in this game. Or one-shot spikes. Or general lack of movement options. I finished Silksong, I finished Nine sols - they work much better with challenging stuff and overall tempo. I want to like this game, because I like the general gameplay, the visuals, the variety of weapons, combat mechanics. Some situations are interesting to solve, some bosses are really cool. And I would be okay with the lack of game design polishing in this game if it wasn't so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ difficult.

"Get used to it: Die for the first time." This isn't an achievement! This is a Darwin Award! Yeah, thanks for making me feel stupid...screw this game!

Great Games but Final Boss is %@$@#%$#^

This is a fantastic game hands down.

This game needs a "meh" rating, but it's not bad, so it gets a thumbs up. It's a good action platformer, but has some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sections and got-yous that set you back a lot and is pretty annoying. [list] [*]The game looks nice, but, some of the time, the POV is too close and you get hit from off-screen ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and it's unnecessary and frustrating. Sometimes I couldn't tell what was an interactable object (platform, grabbing handle, etc.) and what wasn't. [*]The combat and load outs are alright but nothing special. [*]Equipment being locked behind secret areas and not being able to replay levels is a pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ choice on the game design. [*]The story is tired - eternally seeking revenge on an evil family member. I don't even like nor care about stories, buuuuttt.. BOOOORRRRIIINNNGGGG [*]The music is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful, especially for a game that's main advertisement is how super-totally-metal it is. I muted most of the game, and I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love heavy metal. This ♥♥♥♥ was crap. Overall, the above points are really just annoyances. 3/10 - Solid, though annoying, but worth a play if you like action platformers.

Like everyone else has said, this is a metal album brought to life. If that sounds like your kind of thing, then buy it. 'nuff said
