Players report significant control and usability issues, particularly with unintuitive button mapping and gesture recognition that confuses jump and slide inputs, along with missing tutorials and inaccessible menus that hurt the onboarding experience. While some appreciate the core concept of physical, gesture-based VR parkour movement, the execution is criticized as lazy and underdeveloped, with minimalist graphics and a high price point that make it feel like unfinished shovelware compared to similar non-VR games. The game's VR exclusivity is viewed by detractors as an attempt to avoid direc

Vector Velocity is a lazy, 3D minimalist VR only platformer/parkour game. Like Mirror's Edge, but really bad, with lazy graphics, and it costs more. This seems to have been made a VR exclusive to prevent any comparison with non-VR 3D games, a comparison that this game would fail very badly at. Developers must learn that while VR is great, if the only thing that makes your game great is the VR, then your game isn't great at all. Imagine knowing your game is so bad that you make it a VR exclusive in the hopes it will prevent people playing it and comparing it to professionally developed games. There's a ridiculous $18 USD price tag on this minimalist shovelware. Avoid at all costs.3 found this helpful
Vector Velocity is a virtual reality parkour platformer developed by David Mulder and published by Volens Nolens Games, built around one central idea: movement should feel physical, immediate, and embodied. Rather than relying on traditional button-based locomotion, the game translates real-world gestures into in-game actions, turning the player’s body into the primary control interface. The result is a VR experience that attempts to blur the line between avatar and player, placing full-body motion at the heart of its design. It is less about navigating menus or mastering complex systems and more about physically engaging with the act of running, jumping, sliding, and climbing through digital space. At its core, Vector Velocity is a time-trial style traversal challenge. Each level tasks players with reaching an endpoint as quickly and fluidly as possible, navigating a series of obstacles and environmental elements that demand precise timing and efficient movement. Instead of pressing a button to sprint, players pump their arms to simulate running. Jumping requires an upward motion, sliding involves a downward sweep, and various gestures trigger different parkour maneuvers. This di…1 found this helpful

I can't find the tutorial or any help to show me how to play. I take some time to figure out how to jump and slide. The jump and slide really easy to mix up because when you want to jump, you usually lower your body to jump which will make the system think that you want to slide, the opposite also happen to slide become jump. Especially if you want to do a jump then slide immediately, it will mess up. Quite difficult to control.
