Players appreciate the game's accessible mechanics, solid presentation with good graphics and sound, and fleet management depth, with some finding genuine enjoyment in the campaign. However, common complaints include frequent freezes and crashes during combat, excessive downtime with little happening on screen, slow sailing mechanics, and concerns that it feels like an incomplete sequel to the Pacific version rather than a substantial new entry.
I have played over a 1000 hrs on VAS Pacific and held off getting this game because of other reviews not being positive, should have stayed with my gut feeling and listened to what other people were saying. All they had to do was take the existing game and make it into the Atlantic theatre and there you have it but no this will go into my steam hidden library along with the rest of the rubbish and mediocre games. So sad..... I may come back to this game in the future and see if the developers have listened to the masses or have just surged ahead and looked at the profit margins.....3 found this helpful

So depending on what you want this game can be really good for you or really bad for you. The positives are it looks great! Its got pretty good sound effects and quality as well. The game isnt hard to understand and not like you need a degree to play it. I am really not a full time able to learn deep mechanics and this game doesnt have alot of DEEP mechanics but enough to understand and enjoy. The negatives for me was theres too much time where nothing happens... like alot of nothing and that wouldn't be an issue if there was more effects and stuff happening while you were shooting them and being shot.. idk theres alot of stuff NOT HAPPENING lol Takes forever to sail where you need to go as well in the campaign. All small simple things. WOULD recommend for sure if youre patient.1 found this helpful
Had a lot of fun playing the campaign, has it's bug but they're still working things out. hope to see the campaign expanded.
at first it was a no but as i learned how to play it is becoming quite enjoyable. my only thoughts are do regular saves because it will lock up sometimes. if you save and completely exit game though it will continue so i have not lost anything in a while .and watch autoresolve i think it is skewed towards the AI
