Voice of the Ocean

Gorgeous and interesting, Voice of the Ocean exists as little more than a proof of concept at the moment. The main pitch mechanic does work and is plenty forgiving in its current incarnation. Though I do have little hope one with as limited musical inclination as myself would be able to progress much further along its eventual difficulty curve. There's really only one sunken building to explore, with a couple of audio logs also scattered around the ruined city outside of it. The content of the logs presents an enticing narrative, seemingly voiced by the student developers themselves. I don't know if Voice of the Ocean will continue past its current state, but it's plenty charming and intriguing as it is now.

Very pretty with unique gameplay. Not optimal if you live in an apartment building where your neighbors can almost certainly hear you. Would have loved if the game was longer!

A short, gorgeous, atmospheric experience. For being made in only 11 weeks, I'm impressed with it, though sad that there doesn't seem to be a way to fully complete the mural. If this is just a oneshot, just an idea, or even made for a game bash, it's absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ phenomenal and I'm amazed at its quality. If this is something that would be progressed further at some point... dude, sign me up. I want more. The voice control mechanic was relatively forgiving, and the fact it automatically registered some of my low notes (when I overshot how low to sing lol) as HIGH notes, means you don't need an alto or soprano register to play this game! It'll work for those of you with deeper voices, too! The area you can play in is tragically small, but currents pushing you back is a fun detail. The five audio logs paint an incomplete, but delightful story, one with just enough gaps to leave you wondering at where this all started. "I think... I would have been a good father." YEEEOWCH!! Straight up couldn't play it. Connected Xbox controller, was told to press L2 to sing, pressed L2, made some noises, got some singing sounds back, still in egg. Pressed L2 again, got the microphone popup, no more noise. I would have loved to play this, but there is the opposite of a tutorial, or a glitch, or something keeping me from getting to the gameplay

Mic wouldnt pic up my voice. I had to slam on my mic for it to pick up anything!
