Wall of insanity

Good game, visually stunning and definitely worth the money if your looking to play something odd and with a decent story. (Also blew myself up a couple of times with the frag 👍)

Other then getting stuck and falling though the world its a good game.

*Very* good game with a uniquely personal and intelligent take on Lovecraftian like menacing realities Logically graphics aren't so polished as those in Wall of Insanity 2, as this is earlier, but both games are excellent. Would like an option for less bloom here as a personal reference, but 100% recommended ! Disclosure: 71 y.o. slower gamer, I use my own C.E. tables on every game, so I can finish them no matter the difficulty. For other older or interested gamers, some hints: - Here, current Health and Armor are both Type Float, full value 100.0000. - Ammo, chamber and magazine of all weapons, are Type 4 Bytes Exact. I changed both to 99999. **Magazine ammo over default carries over in level changes**, but chamber ammo resets to default, find that again. - Inventory Items don't stack, so can't increase. - Adresses, Float, all separated by 4 Bytes: After Health current, comes max value, Armor current, armor max, and then comes Damage received by you with a default value of 0.50000. As an option you can change that to 0.0000 and you are invulnerable. Enjoy a fine and absorbing game !

This would be good if it weren't so buggy.

I picked this up because I really enjoyed the demo for the second game, and figured I'd should see where things started. And... No. I don't think that was a wise decision. Gunplay is alright, and you have third person or first person views to utilize. Enemies aren't super bright, but I suppose with the mangled messes that they are - it makes sense. The level design starts off as extremely claustrophobic, and it is a trend that stays pretty common throughout what I played. It can be easy to get lost, as much of the game looks the same. When you do go into a new environment there's not a lot of explanation for it, and it is probably best to view it as just a collection of weird places meshed together like some kind of complex cube of shenanigans. Unfortunately this game has a plethora of game breaking bugs. Occasionally I'd find myself falling out of the map, or floating above boxes or killed enemies, which prevented me from using things or exiting rooms. Maybe it would have been worth pushing through, but the auto-saves can be far apart. And the game isn't compelling enough to replay sections multiple times.
