"Watercolor Hell" is a failed, lame ripoff of Vampire Survivors only somehow worse. The progression system and general gameplay are all derivative, the visual implementation somehow comes across as worse than the ugly pixelcrap from VS... overall, it's pretty easy to see why this failed. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs to pretend they're mobile phones or Commodore 64s. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $1.99 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your librar…

English Review Watercolor Hell feels like an unfinished school project. There’s no real challenge, almost no enemy variety, and the gameplay becomes repetitive extremely fast. All 10 stages look and play the same, with nothing new except more waves. The watercolor art style could’ve been interesting, but it’s not executed well and looks incomplete. Overall, the game lacks depth, creativity, and polish. ------- [:: SYSTEM SADNESS DETECTED ::] Error: Award level low... 💔 Please insert 1 Steam Award to reboot happiness 💫 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣶⣤⣄⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⣿⠛⠻⢷⣤⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⡇⠀⠈⠛⠷⣤⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⣿⡄⠀⠀⠈⠻⣦⣄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⠘⣧⠀⢀⣄⡀⠈⠻⢦⣄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠘⣧⠀⢀⡀⠀⠈⠙⢷⣄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⡿⢿⡀⠘⡏⠛⢦⠀⠀⠙⢷⡄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⢹⣇⢸⡏⠳⣄⠀⢺⡿⣦⡀⣀⣤⡶⠾⠛⠛⠻⡄⠙⠀⣸⡄⠈⠳⡄⠀⠈⠻⣆⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢻⡄⢳⡀⢈⣷⠀⠻⠀⠉⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⡄⠀⠀⠉⠳⢤⣻⡀⠀⠀⠹⣧⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⣧⠀⣷⠟⠁⠀⠚⠃⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠘⢷⡄⠀⠀⠘⣧⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢺⣯⣾⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠹⣧⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣸⡏⠙⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢹⣆⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⢠⡿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⣾⠁⢀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢹⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⣸⡇⠀⢺⣆⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⢀⣠⣿⢿⡁⠀⠀⢻⣶⣤⣄⣀⣤⣴⡿⠂⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢴⣦⣀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣠⣴⡛⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⢸⣍⠙⠓⠉⠀⠀⣸⡆⠈⠉⠉⣻⡄⠀⠀⠀⣶⠦⣤⣄⠀⠀⠉⠙⣿⠛⠛⠉⠁⣠⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⣤⣿⣧⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠙⢷⣦⡀⠀⢹⡇⠀⠀⠀⣰⠿⠁⠀⠀⠀⠛⢶⠛⠁⠀⠀⠀⠰⣟⡀⠀⠀⠰⣇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣴⡏⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠘⢧⣀⡞…

Watercolor Hell may be free but i don't really like action roguelike games. Getting that out of the way its pretty good! I started out not really liking it because i didn't understand what to do fully, but it's basic action roguelike controls. 7/10

This game is absolutely good and free. It have an unique strange graphics design. The game while wave based it rather a traditional VS game where you levelup collecting XP (color splash in this game). There is few weapons and bosses drop weapon altering bonuses what greatly can enhance your main weapon. The game also offer Meta Upgrades. The only issue is the character big hitbox and almost nonexistent receiving hit feedback. Anyway a recommended survivor bullet heaven.
