About Which Sausage, Mate?
You're Kazio, an ex-coal miner, husband, father, and the newest cashier at Żopka, Poland's landmark convenience store chain. Your job is simple: serve customers, follow the rules, don't get fired. Your real job is harder: keep your family from falling apart on a cashier's wage.
WORK THE REGISTER.
Scan items from a catalogue of 100+ products, check IDs, grill hot dogs, count change. Easy enough until corporate starts piling on new regulations. Suddenly you're verifying foreign documents, enforcing energy drink age limits, validating promo coupons, checking loyalty cards, charging for bags, and catching expired student IDs, all while the queue grows longer and the timer ticks faster. And the customers don't make it easier. A rotating cast of 50 special characters, from haggling businessmen and black market dealers offering bribes, to impatient Karens, tracksuit philosophers who pay in loose change, shoplifters, truck drivers, a mohair-bereted grandma, and a suspiciously large proboscis monkey, each one to test your patience further.WORK THE SYSTEM.
Your mother needs surgery, your son needs a school trip, winter is coming and the heating bill doubles. After each shift, take home whatever you earned and split it five ways: rent, food, medicine, school, heating....Or invest profits into the store. Start in a crumbling post-Soviet kiosk with flickering lights and wire shelving, unlock 22 upgrades across floors, walls, counters, shelves, lighting, security, and premium product lines, and watch it transform all the way up to a gleaming, neon-lit Cyber-Żopka that would make the franchise proud.AND MAKE IT WORK WELL.
Accept a bribe or report it. Join the union or stay loyal. Save for your mother's surgery or upgrade the store. Over 30 days, your decisions accumulate into one of 9 distinct endings, some hopeful, some devastating, and one that makes you the true Żopka emperor. Then do it all over again in New Game Plus with per-ending bonuses.WHAT'S IN THE BOX

Which Sausage, Mate? is an inventive simulation game that proves even the most ordinary job can become the foundation for an engaging and memorable experience. Developed and published by Koksny.com, the game follows Kazio, a former coal miner who is forced to rebuild his life after losing his previous career. His only option is to work as a cashier at the local Żopka convenience store, where every shift becomes a test of patience, efficiency, and survival. Although the concept is wrapped in absurd humor and quirky situations, the story is rooted in realistic struggles involving unemployment, family obligations, and the challenge of making ends meet. This balance between comedy and genuine hardship gives the game far more emotional depth than its unusual title might suggest. The primary gameplay revolves around running the checkout counter, but the responsibilities extend well beyond simply scanning groceries. Players must accurately process purchases, prepare hot dogs for hungry customers, organize incoming parcels, count cash correctly, verify customer identification, and adapt to an ever-growing list of workplace regulations. As the campaign progresses, corporate policies introd…2 found this helpful
It's a good short game. I wouldn't call it relaxing (that is to be expected, working at żopka seems extremely stressful), but it's fun. At it's core Which Sausage, Mate? is inspired by Papers Please, but the setting is way more humoristic with many polish jokes/memes. That makes it so game can be less enjoyable if someone can't catch those popular references. Also there is less thinking but more just reacting in terms of gameplay. It took me 2,5 hours to beat it and get one of the main endings (I don't know how many are there but there is definitely a few more like in Papers Please). Maybe I'll try to get others either. Music is nice and I like the artistic direction a lot. And for me it straight up worked in linux so that's nice. For 6$ I recommend it, a solid 8/10 game.2 found this helpful

Game so good I pulled up a monitor sheet to track everything while acting like it's a real part time night shift job after my 9 to 5. Also, the graphics and music reminded me of the old retro games I played back in the day. So glad I bought this game on a whim and NO ONE can take me away from playing this game1 found this helpful
