Who is Abby is a mystery driven, adventure, walking simulator. In this game you explore various environments while trying to find out what happened to your sister Abby. The game involves several minor puzzles, but most of the gameplay involves collecting items and using the items on certain aspects of the environment to move onto the next. The game takes approximately 6 hours to complete. + The environments are immersive and the game looks great. However, the game is not optimized well and you will need a stong video card to run the high settings properly. Note: Many of the environments are straight asset flips bought from the Unreal store inserted into the game. + Strong story with twists. + There is an excellent extra museum mode where you can walk through a beautiful area and view all the collectibles you have obtained, and read various trivia. +/- The music and sound effects are done well enough. However, some of the song choices can feel out of place. - The voice acting is average at best, at times various characters sound poor. - The gameplay feels like a modern version of a 1980s "Pixel Hunting" adventure game. Most items are hidden very well and it always feels like you'…12 found this helpful
It's not a complete horrible game. Honestly worth maybe $5. It's definitely not a "AAA" game. Issues listed below 1) Character animation (when your character is shown) are horrible. 2) The story was a nice idea, but executed badly. 3) Extremely slow pace. 4) The hit boxes for opening or grabbing small items were horrible. Opening door were ok. The major issues were the cabinets. The hit boxes were big and if there was an item in the cabinets it was a fight between the hit boxes. 5) The hit boxes for small or medium items. You have to be right on top of them to be acknowledge. 6) No emotions of any kind, especially at the end of the game. At full price do not waste your time, maybe under $53 found this helpful
This is a game that tries to be simultaneously tongue-in-cheek while covering a serious topic; both end up clashing horribly and negatively impacting what could have been an otherwise riveting storyline. I bought this game at a heavy discount, which is the only reason I didn't simply refund it after watching the first (of what turned out to be far too many) outlandishly silly cutscenes involving cars in this game. The optimization for this game is horrible. Running the game makes my PC (i9-13900K with 4070 ti Super) blast like a furnace with fans on max. I can run games with much larger, more graphically impressive worlds at high or epic settings with far less strain on my PC - examples Ark Survival Ascended, Control, Expedition 33, Cyberpunk, RDR2. I greatly enjoy walking sims because they normally have rich stories and experiences they provide. Games like Firewatch, Gone Home, Dear Esther, and What Remains of Edith Finch are all games I would recommend. This one, however, is not.3 found this helpful
Great game. Had a lot of fun playing this. The performance was great. Had video problems in the demo, but was fixed in the release. It was a little dark in some areas where I wish there was a light source throughout the whole game or even a gamma setting. Overall I had a great time playing this and will look out for future games from these developers.1 found this helpful
I liked this game for its atmosphere and puzzles. I enjoyed it, it was light and fun. This kind of game needs you to be in the right mood. If your mind is full and you feel average, and low on energy, then this game will relax you and you will feel wonderful and energized after solving the puzzles and exploring the beautiful scenery. I recommend.
Excellent walking simulator with light puzzles. Definitely a hidden gem.
