About Witch Stories

Set in the 1700s. You are a woman living in a cottage in the forest with your husband and newborn baby. Your husband goes to work in town every day, and you deliver the goods of your farm to neighbors. Your story unfolds over one day, whether you choose to act or not. Most choices, and lack thereof, will result in uniquely branching narratives, letting you tell your own Witch Story. Non-linear, open world, branching dialog, voice acted, simple controls, and tons of easter eggs to discover. A witch doth dwell in yon tangled wood…

A decent horror game with great voice acting and good design choices here and there but it can be bit confusing at times and the map layout was pretty plain in my opinion. This was an alright horror game however and if you are looking for something decent then I would recommend https://youtu.be/tdJS3UvEYwA
This is a fun horror experience that you can start over a couple of times to get different endings and play different scenarios.
I believe I played through all the scenarios (unless some didn't have achievements) and it's fun to do things a little bit differently. The game won't be for everyone. It doesn't hold your hand (which I think is a strong point) but others might view it as frustrating. The voice acting is surprisingly good! For $5 you can't really go wrong here

Beautiful game, truly. I highly recommend watching the dev's video about making the game(after you've played a bit). As a small game maker, that video and this game have been very inspirational. A bit spolier-y: If you aren't the curious sort, it can be a bit of a slog to get through because the game is not very clear on what you need to do. For instance, the first time I played I played my character as a devout Christian woman who would not dare go through her husband's journal. I spent my first playthrough(roughly 15 minutes) wandering around and the waiting for my husband to return. I did nothing to affect the witch and when we went to bed she came for us. Back in real life, I told my real life husband about my experience and he said "Oh did you deliver the eggs to the old woman?" What??? He told me that if you read the husband's journal it tells you about an egg delivery, and other details. I actually really enjoy this aspect of the game. This lead to me attempting to turn over every stone in the game, so to speak. It's a short and beautiful game. The visuals are interesting, enjoyable. The real beauty of the game comes from it's encouragement to turn the puzzle over and ove…

if you like waiting forever and wandering around a map with barely any landmarks that you can barely see anything in even at daytime, then you might enjoy this game

I know the guy that made this game and I always suspected he was a weirdo, well now I have proof.

Very good game if you are into the vvitch movie and weird retro style horror games, the eery feeling of the forest is nailed perfectly. Short and with many endings so replayability is good.
