◆ Build your own Armored Cavalry and deploy! 'Wolf Fang'
As a member of the Rohga Team, the player pilots a robotic weapon known as an 'Armored Cavalry' and heads into battle.
Combine three parts?'Body (sub-weapon)', 'Arms (melee attack)', and 'Legs (mobility)'?to build your own custom machine.
Defeat the numerous enemies using a combination of shots, melee attacks, stomping attacks, and sub-weapons.
Even if your mech is destroyed, the pilot can continue fighting. Gather items through valiant efforts, and you can repair your robot and return to the battlefield.
The Saturn version includes exclusive character voices, new actions, and a boss rush mode. Challenge the battlefield as many times as you want!

As a member of the Gaiga Team, the player pilots a fighter jet and heads out to intercept enemy weapons approaching the defense line.
Select from four pilots, each with different special abilities, and four fighter jets with varying performance.
Controlling the speed of your fighter jet is crucial on the battlefield. Will you take the risk and fly at high speed to rush through, or play it safe by flying at low speed to intercept enemies? Your courage and strategy will be put to the test.
During boss battles, use your control techniques to mark enemy aircraft within your attack range.
The Saturn version features exclusive additional bosses, extra aircraft, and a trial mode.

Okay so to clarify, since at the time of writing the store page leaves this aspect fairly ambiguous (which I'm sure is completely by accident, wink wink) - this port does not translate a single thing in-game. Aside from their emulator overlay options, everything that's in English in this was already English in the original version. This means that not a single bit of the story dialogue has been translated - normally not a huge deal in a shmup, right? Well, here every level is divided by a series of voiced interactions that are completely unskippable (in WolfFang; in SkullFang they're partially skippable) and fairly slow. Meaning that unless you understand Japanese, you'll just be sitting there for a while, staring blankly, before you get to play again... Fun! After the shockingly high-effort port of Assault Suit Leynos 2, I was kind of hoping they'd translate the text boxes... or, you know, something at least. But nope. This is just the old Japanese originals with their usual emulator overlay. Personally I'd avoid it, but you do you.49 found this helpful

It’s a collection that understands its roots and makes only measured concessions to modern expectations, which ultimately defines both its appeal and its limitations. The two included titles approach the shooter genre from very different angles. Wolf Fang is a side-scrolling action game centered around a customizable mech, giving it a slightly more deliberate and tactical feel compared to standard run-and-gun titles. Before each mission, players assemble their machine from different parts, each affecting mobility, firepower, and overall performance.
