Yoltrund: The World of Eternal Woe, a short story written in 2014 by Michael Cox, now takes flesh as Yoltrund. Using unique lore and characters, this tale is told.
Long before, there were Two, two brothers of The Ones Who Came Before; one of Light, one of Shadow. These brothers collided to form a third; one of Flame. The One King, burning with anger and hatred, created the Void that lives in all things; the barrier between realms to prevent his elder brothers from fighting further.
He then succumbed to Sin, causing his eternal fires to rage onward in beautiful shadow. In doing so, he created his realm of Yoltrund, where he punishes such sinners with purifying flame.
He then vanished, never to be seen again.
Experience the gripping tale as you play as a lost soul, trapped within Yoltrund, and must find his way out of the realm of eternal fire. However, to do so, he must travel deeper into this dark world and must survive the mazes within to prevent himself from being corrupted beyond saving.

As of 02/01/2018 I have just completed what is available to be played of Yoltrund. February 7th, 2018 is when the next update is released adding the next chapter of the story. While the game is still in early access, a couple of things I've noticed is that the Dev is very active and tends to issues immediately. The game is constantly being worked on which is nice to see. The dev also appears to be very friendly and informative if you look at their update posts or follow them on Social Media. While the game IS in early access and what's available to play is limited, my time spent playing Yoltrund was nothing short of enjoyable. The music was a nice fit to set the feel of the game, the sound effects were well done, and the graphics bring back nostalgia in the best way. After playing through the first part, I'm intrigued by what's going on and I enjoyed the ability to make some choices in the beginning that I believe will effect the outcome of the future as I play this game. I look forward to playing more of it as it's released and I think for the price, you really can't go wrong with showing support for Templarius Studios.
