Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed

a wonderful game and remake! play if you want to play with magic if you love having fun.

I played the original game as a kid, and while yes, I could gush about how much I love this game, I won't instead, I'll make sure this is a genuine review free of Nostalgia. The game looks beautiful, I have played this on every console, and even on switch it looks good, not the best, but good. The level designs are the same for the most part, with the only difference being the Projector Levels, they surprised me at first and I was shocked to see that they held two Film reels instead of the original one as well as concept art. The new mechanics breathe a new kind of life into the gameplay, making it easier to speed-run, not that it was all too difficult originally. The UI has also gone through a Rebrush, which doesn't look bad, though I personally prefer the original style with the notepad flipping to a different face with each bit of damage you take. I don't like the fact that the camera filters reset each run, and forces you to re-purchase them each time you start a new run/New Game+ As much as I like the new Concept art, I do wish that they had kept more of the originals. I remember LOVING this game back in the early 2010s, and I still adore it to this day, one of the best games on the Wii and overall one of the best Disney games of all time. Truly a classic, I really hope we get an Epic Mickey 2 Rebrushed so both of these perfect masterpiece games get the true 2020 remaster treatment. If you love Disney, hell if you even wanna just play a god tier classic game, its perfect for all ages, and genuinely is one of the most fun games ever! 20/10

Great game, beautiful graphics, had loads a fun but at many technical issues while playing such as the game CONSTANTLY crashing when entering specific areas of the game as well as even loading up the save file.

Absolutely amazing remake, even with the small errors it had from launch (and still has a few) I still hold this as the best way to replay / get into the original Epic Mickey, the graphics look how I always remember the game through my rose-tinted glasses, and even though it redesigns things to be a bit more soft and cute than the original, and even though I am a huge advocate for the darker original plans for the game series, I absolutely love the softer cuter appearance for the game and am in love with how the Blotlings were redesigned. The original Wii release will always hold a very special place in my heart, but this is an improvement in pretty much every way I can think of for me. I hope the 2nd game and 3ds game can get remade some day, or the series can be picked back up with a 3rd game finally being released, or even with old spin-off ideas being finally made like Epic Donald or Epic Racers.
