✦ AI summary

Survival Log has an engaging time-loop survival concept that players find compelling and addictive, with strong praise for its "Groundhog Day meets zombie apocalypse" premise and satisfying cycle of preparation and learning. However, players consistently criticize the movement mechanics, combat system, excessive phone notifications, and other elements that feel underdeveloped, though most believe the core gameplay loop makes it worth experiencing despite these rough edges.

Survival Log is a new and arguably overdue take on the zombie apocalypse - rather than playing some sort of combat-centric hero, villain, or otherwise morally grey protagonist that leaves a trail of undead in their wake, the game puts the player in the shoes of an otherwise ordinary person (three different options to choose from at the time of this review with a fourth being teased by in-game hints) thrust into extraordinary circumstances. The Good: The game itself is incredibly addicting, with "one more turn" syndrome in full force. Resource management is front and center, balancing food, power, and maintenance materials to keep everything running. On a more abstract, meta-game, and narrative level, there are multiple mechanics that integrate the survivor PC with other NPCs in the game world through cell phone texts, drones, and support missions. These range from trading and rescue to exploration of setting lore to distracting zombie hordes from other besieged survivors and outposts - the kind of cooperative recovery efforts that are more likely to be seen in an actual emergency. As Mr. Rogers himself said, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping." Th…

Good game like the gameplay and the graphics but need customization like having different cloths, the ui ,more furniture placements(like you can put it anywhere) and more also can we also have a human helper not a robot helper cuz I want to like increase the challenge of having 2 or more mouths to feed instead of a robot needing charge so that my character can feel happy with another human and possible like give the npc a personality like they can get angry with something and love you for something

My new favorite game. Addictive, challenging, and fun. Multiple playthroughs that don't feel boring.

This is a good one! If you are OCD about resource management (including time management), this is the one for you. Don't expect to fight a bunch of zombies during incoming horde events, but instead, expect to work on developing your skills and manage your resources while the story unfolds. Interestingly enough, the story only unfolds if you pursue it! I love this game. Lots of replayability, lots of good mechanics, just a good vibe for an apocalyptic survivor.
