About SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell

✦ AI summary

Race through 100 brutal arena maps as a demon-powered speedrunner, teleporting, jumping, and blasting your way to hell-bent glory in pursuit of stolen beer. A wickedly fast fusion of Quake 3's twitch combat and Super Meat Boy's platforming precision, topped with an original heavy metal soundtrack and competitive global leaderboards.

Like a bastard child of Quake 3 and Super Meat Boy, SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell is truly hardcore and focuses on speed and fast reaction.

Pretty simple and fun game. Not rly a lot I can say, it's just very good at what it wants to achieve. I like the soundtrack, and being able to watch replays of other players is nice if you wanna achieve better times. Aesthetically it's the embodiment of "40 y/o dad that likes metal from the 80s-90s" which I personally like. 7.5/10

I had a lot of fun playing this game. The platforming is clean and simple, and all of the orb mechanics are fun to use and pair with each other. My favorite is probably the anti-gravity, and the fact that the fireballs you throw also move depending on if youre pressing right click. The secret stuff in this game is also mostly findable without having to look up where a secret is or how to unlock them. The peaks, haikus, and H levels are all good and enjoyable "secrets" without having to go crazy searching every level for something you don't know is there or not. Some of the S levels I did have to look up to help find, but I didnt care too much. Music in this game is not really my style, but I wont hate on the game for that at all. The steam achievements are all good, but I do hate the play for 66 hours. This game does not take that long to 666% percent, and although I havent done the deathless speedrun yet, I know it won't take 45 hours to do. I get it that if somebody really likes this game they'll eventually get it, but man I just want this blue ribbon without playing for another month. Besides that, great game, 8.1/10
