Crystal Breaker (2026)

A nice experience overall, though a few things I need to get through here! 2 hours on the game, with about 3 more hours during the demo, so about 5 hours in total overall The gameplay is simple, casual and fun, just as advertised, you are getting exactly what is expected being a Crystal Breaker. Weapons getting stronger as you stack them up, but as you progress encourages moving on to different tiers to make progress more easily. Upgrades work in a decent gradual pace per planet, so you don't get too over powered too quickly "Loot Box" upgrades really make weapons wildly different from base to fully upgraded Level design is simple and effective at being where you are (Desert, Ice, Lava, Toxic Planets) Controls (Using Keyboard/Mouse) Just simple point and hold click to get around, can't get anymore simple. Spaceships have some nice designs as you unlock them, which in turn unlocks more weapons to use at once. Now on the flip side a few issues that are worthy of note, though I would say does not ruin the game as a whole. Lasers go brrrr, numbers go up, monkey brain happy. If you like Vampire Survivors style progression but in space, just get it.

It's unfinished - just starts breaking down at the end and there is no end and the performance basically becomes completely bricked. The final upgrades seem to almost be placeholder as well and I am not sure if they do anything at the end. I guess it's fun for about 1-2 hours? Feels kinda sloppy - just a bit of polish would have made this much better.

This doesn't feel like a complete game yet, it feels like an early access game that hasn't been labelled as early access. There's some fun to be had here but... There are a lot of bugs: some upgrades don't take effect until after you leave and reenter the game the performance is terrible, it starts hitching on the early levels and gets unplayable on the later ones the equipment screen doesn't render properly in widescreen, it's cut off and you can't really see a lot of your ship config the content also doesn't change at all on the planets, and teh weapons are just straight upgrades as you progress through, there isn't a reason to diversify at all. Will keep an eye on updates and may come back to revise this as the game gets updated, there's a lot of potential adn if you want to kill a couple of hours it's not bad, but it's very incomplete

fix performance. getting like 2 fps in the late game makes it unplayable to max out everything. No achievements, no end of the game boo.

Was bored, bought it without thinking, had a great evening. Definitely doing another run tomorrow.
