Grew up playing the original. This is an excellent modern remake. And yes, it's very difficult and frustrating, but very fun.

The game engine is not tuned. Controls are slow. Enemy fire is covered by basically every active element on the map. Just not a good experience. It's like bullet hell with bad controls.

DO NOT GET THIS. I used it with an Xbox controller on my PC. The controls do not consistently work. I setup the controller button, then when I enter the mission the controls are wiped away or changed. At times it adds a second player to the game when I am trying to play single player. The menu for choosing your character does not work properly as I had chosen my player already and it still wanted me to chose another player. Overall maneuvering the menus and the controls are terrible. DO
