✦ AI summary

Edens Zero is an action RPG based on the anime that offers enjoyable combat, extensive customization options including numerous armor and weapon cosmetics, and a faithful adaptation of the story. However, players note the main campaign is relatively short at 10 chapters with limited content, character balance issues making some units significantly weaker than others, and repetitive enemy designs that become damage-spongy at higher levels, with the overall experience feeling dependent on familiarity with the source material.

What can I say, was just coming off finishing AC Shadows on PS5 when I just wanted a side game to play once in a while but not my main game. That's what I thought anyways, well it turns out this is a really good, niche, weird, addictive japanese anime game, one of the first to actually make me want to watch the series. Game offers a story mode (main game mode) and an exploration mode to level and do side quests for money and mats. I would say the game is about thirty hours for the main story and maybe another 10-15 for 100%, you could do a whole lot worse for thirty, not worth $60 but for thirty is has meat on the bones, Classic out.

Haven't read the manga or watched the anime, I only grabbed this game because it was on sale and looked like a fun and simple Beat Em' Up. I hope the actual Edens Zero's story is more coherent cause good lord man The actual gameplay is pretty bad and boring, but I like it. I don't really know why. Combat can be fun on the harder encounters, but it's also extremely simple. Even when you've maxed everyone's skill trees, MOST fights are easily decided by some button-mashing. If you keep getting knocked down then just pop overdrive and mash harder. There is exactly one boss that makes you use a bit of strategy, and there are a few encounters and missions in the open world that will kick your ass if you aren't actually trying to win... At a certain point, defense becomes meaningless because perfect dodging isn't hard at all, and you're HP is too large for most enemies to make a dent in, so the equipment system eventually boils down to just whatever gives the most attack. This game has a shockingly strong start and genuinely gripping story, for, like, a combined total of thirty minutes. The quality then rapidly plummets. Kurenai: "I am mega hitler!! I hate my daughter Homura, I want…

if shiki can do good just for the sake of it why can't we but in all seriousness, its one of the better anime based rpgs theres a ton of customization with the costumes, a decent open world area, tons of side quests EDIT after finishing the main game, that ending whas kind of doodoo, still recommend though

Game is decently enjoyable, Main game leads up to 10 chapters, but there are endgame content included with the Fairy Tail collab to keep you busy. Mostly mirrors how the anime shows their scenes with some parts cut out to keep it shorter. Problems I have is how the game can get repetitive with their enemies since some of them are just different colored versions of themselves using the same moves, but with higher stats. Another issue is how damage sponge\y they can get when you start encountering higher level enemies.

There is no Labilia in the party. No positive review. No. Might give a positive review on Edens Zero 2 if there ever is one and if Labilia is playable.
