IDLE: Intergalactic Defense League Exterminators

UPDATE: I got the game to work and I still hate it. My first major issue with the game is that loot is dropped to the floor and you have to pick it up. I didn't realise this before which is probably why I didn't get enough alien bug bits before. This is a problem, because you also have to aim the cursor to shoot the alien bugs. Loot falls to near the bottom of your screen, but not the very bottom, so you can't just push your cursor around the bottom... Irritating... Later you unlock a way to automate the laser, but that presents a new problem. It will often aim at things that aren't on the screen yet, meaning that you won't get loot from those things. Because you can't pick it up. Sometimes it'll just fire along the button of the screen completely missing all the bugs and not getting you loot. Far from optimal. You can also unlock a way to automate loot collection, but unlike the laser, it doesn't stay unlocked between runs... Not that that's a problem, because: The prestige mechanic resets half the tree, but doesn't reset your currency, so you can just gather a ton of currency before prestiging and get right back to where you were... Why have a prestige mechanic then do this? …

The "1 billion bugs" achievement takes hours and hours to get. This game is more slop. The magic word on Steam is "incremental" and this trash is what we'll keep getting. Avoid.

The gameplay is fun, the art style is cool, and the upgrades are interesting. While it does have a couple minor bugs and might benefit from some additional polish, it works well, and it's very enjoyable. It's also an amazing achievement from an effectively single person indie game developer, and it's easily worth the price. If this is one of PolyB Games' first entries into indie games, I can't wait to see the next!

Buggy game from the start. When starting a new game, it would freeze during the intro. Reinstalled and clicked continue and it let me skip the intro. Not sure what I missed. Repurchasing upgrade tree between each level is really annoying and time consuming. Repetitive gameplay that is not that rewarding. Some of the achievements are grindy especially with low replayability. Currently not worth the price or the frustration. I did not refund, but I wish I did.

Very fun game! I was expecting to play it for a while, but I couldn't stop for 2 hours and still feeling very tempted to do the ng+.

It's fun for a bit, but some of the achievments are massive grinds. Really terrible choice by the devs. It's also kind of buggy. You can't see how far you are from some of the ridiculous achievments.
