Unknot!

Rad! I am currently studying knot theory, so I may be a bit biased, but this is very cool and chill little puzzle game.

Unknot! has technical issues that stand in its way. * You play on a 2D plane and view, but with a 3D rope object * A knotted rope is presented, and you untangle it, with the option to flip the whole thing and swap individual rope crosses * 10 extra levels, with opt-in research participation; although I couldn't find information about the research - Swap regularly confirmed by sound, but no effect - Tangled mechanic is super annoying (I assume it's a band-aid for not being able to handle physics in "edge cases") - Some missing quality-of-life features - Strange, frizzly, thin main menu font, hard to read - Starts in a window, you maximize it, it finishes loading, goes into smaller window again Some of the content makes it seem like a well-founded theoretical [game] design, based on knot theory. Unfortunately, the tech makes it feel like a messy prototype or bad shovelware indie title. I have to assume the developers had better intentions. Unfortunately, the implementation can't hold up.

This is a pleasant and relaxing puzzle game. There are a total of 99 knots to untwist and untie. _Unknot_ was an opportunity to put the Knot Tying merit badge I earned as a Boy Scout in 1956 to some impractical use. I rate _Unknot_ a Fin well spent.

If you like cute cozy puzzle games, OR if you happen to know about and like knot theory mathematics, definitely try this game.

Fun little puzzle game, can be a little frustrating to work with at times, but satisfying when you finally get 3 stars from a level. 8.5 / 10, Would Unknot again.
