Needs a freestyle level where you can play and survive as long as possible. Difficulty on this game is too high for me. Does not give the player much warning on the next note to hit and even on easy, last few levels seem challenging. After you miss few notes, there is a delay in hitting next note so 2-3 mistakes can turn into several mistakes. 1-2 times when I plugged in Xbox controller, it did not register that a controller was plugged in.

Beats Of Fury is a sort of rhythm game, well kind of... that has finally left Early Access after more than six years and it isn't exactly a great game or anything close to being a good one to begin with. The fact that I even spent 3.5 hours with it is honestly surprising, because it's not even a little bit of a joyride. It simply doesn't feel good to play and as for most of the music in the game I'd rather listen to my toilet flush for an hour. And since some reviewers have been spouting absolute nonsense like "cool/good... amazing game" someone needs to step in, shake their head in disbelief and simply say No da f--- it's not! And now to top it off they recently changed the capsule art to something that looks very much like partially or patchily assembled AI generated smut. Even more obvious was the slop infested new trailer where you could spot several AI artifacts if you paused at the right moments. After I pointed it out the devs quietly replaced the video and deleted my post about it on the forum. But hey it's already too late. Between that, several other things I've noticed and the complete lack of any AI disclosure from the devs, I've not only lost what little interest I s…

Similar to Guitar Hero/Rock Band with several MAJOR differences: -You rotate around to aim and SHOOT the beats/notes -On its own shooting not as challenging or deep as a full top down shooter, however, the music and effects make up it -No unique plastic peripheral needed to purchase or keep (I recommend gamepad/controller) -Do not have to contort fingers in awkward positions (do not @ me as I know guitar players may not have same issue) -No licensed tracks, but tracks are good IMO (Smaller dev team and budget than big franchise) -Mix of EDM and rock songs -Background rotates and visually changes with the track to add to feeling of immersion in the music -Good price point So far I have played with headphones on and I have had a blast. I enjoy the soundtrack and when you are hitting the notes correctly the sound and graphics combine to make you feel like you are IN the music track. Occasionally I found the effects distracted from playing to the beat, but overall they were great. You can also adjust light/colour changes, rotation, zoom/shake effects and colour blind mode for those concerned about any of the above. Could be short on number of tracks for some, b…

Subjective Rating: Pass Explanation - This would be a rating that reviewers SHOULD use. First off, this does not mean that its a bad game. In fact, a lot of these can be well-done games. What this means is, it is the WRONG game. See, the Internet can sometimes struggle with the concept that just because you don't like something, it can still have value to others. Well, I recognise this, so I understand I am not the right person to play this game. Its just not for me, I'm going to skip it. Why should I weigh in with my opinion if I'm not interested in it in the first place? Opinions are not all equal. Somebody whom this this game appeals to should play it, not me. Reason: I was under the assumption that this is one of those rhythm games that allows me to play my own local music, but I was wrong. But I can say, because this game is very well made, I do still recommend giving this game a go. :)
