Playing this game made me realize that Duolingo definitely helps, but this game’s learning method really makes sure you’ve got things memorized before moving on. It also regularly tosses in previously “mastered” characters so you don’t forget them. I also like sounding out the words as I type them for extra practice. The tests are great as well, and frustratingly so when you start confusing similar looking characters! I’m excited to get to the JLPT section. I’m still working through Katakana after finishing Hiragana, but so far I’m really enjoying the process. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it as a great tool for learning and memorizing Japanese characters!

“This game is very nice, I really love it, but I just have one problem: I can’t unlock the achievement for 10,000 points in the Hiragana challenge. I finished it, but I didn’t receive the achievement. If someone has a solution, I’d be grateful.”

After a year of trying to learn to read hiragana, having just few minutes a day for studying, I think this is the best thing that actually works.
