✦ AI summary

Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk is a first-person dungeon crawler with a compelling story featuring complex characters that players find engaging, though many note the narrative is heavily backloaded with tedious grinding and pacing issues in the early game. The dungeon crawling and battle system are praised, but difficulty spikes and repetitive content frustrate some players, while others find the grind relaxing and the experience worth playing through.

First of all I do love this game story was fantastic but 100% it was a pain the ass that I’d do all over again. 100%ing this game is cool because it ties into the story not that you have to do it if getting the normal ending is fine with you. I think what mostly made it tedious for me is that DRPGs as a whole are generally annoying to me but for some reason the ones that I’ve played are always attached to great stories. Anyways, this game is well worth it.

Bad pacing between story/gameplay and needs some QoL changes. But everything else is captivating, Until a random enemy gets conqueror's Haki and wipes your entire Brigade .

Unfortunately i can not recommend this game and I'm honestly not sure if I'll keep going at all. If fails to deliver both in terms of story and gameplay until the very late game or even post game it seems. I'm almost 30 hours in now and barely anything of interest has happened in terms of the story. Admittedly Dronya and Luca make for an odd and entertaining pair but even that can't cover for the lack of any substance. And now that things are finally starting to pick up (at least so it seems) the story segments become futher and further apart with more (mostly boring) dungeon crawling between them. Many positive reviews point out the good story of the game so I assume it's very backloaded but if I have to got through 30 hours of nothingness to get to the "good part" then the writers have already failed. In terms of gameplay the dungeon crawling aspect is okay. Mostly boring but quick combat. Auto-attack is enough for 99% of the standard enemies. Bosses might require some spell usage but that's it. Can't speak for the hard difficulty because I haven't tried it. There are a few "events" per each dungeon but they don't add anything meaningful either. Many of the game mechanics are…

I have played a few first-person dungeon crawlers and this one is still by far my favorite. I really enjoyed the story (peak toxic yuri), the exploration and the battle system, though it isn't without flaws. I find it kind of off-putting how every female character suffers from boob-socks even though I really like a lot of the art otherwise. The game is also very grindy; I personally don't mind that too much because I find it relaxing to do but it can be a little annoying to have to catch up every once in a while when the game decides to throw difficulty spikes at you. All in all, I think it's a game for a very specific type of person who loves grinding, optimizing, and mean lesbians with tragic backstories.

Very beautiful game with some of the worst women imaginable I love them so much and also you get to play with evil dolls pull their limbs off. the dungeon crawling is very good. I wish NIS would do more of this type of game.
