Remaster is full of glitches that lock you out of questlines. Save often

I would love to recommend this, I don't even have a problem with the performance like so many people seem to have. But in the last couple of hours I've had to force my computer to shut down THREE TIMES because the game freezes the whole system. Like the saying goes, once is a chance. Twice is a coincidence. Three times is a pattern. And because Bethesda doesn't obviously care as there hasn't been any patches for a year I've now wasted my money on this that I'll never get back. Don't do the same mistake I did and avoid this, Bethesda doesn't deserve your money until they fix their game (which will never happen).

I grew up playing Skyrim. So I was a bit late to the party playing Oblivion for the first time in 2026. However, I am still glad I did. Playing this game with the context of what Bethesda went on to do with Skyrim was a very cool experience. I noticed certain aspects that I didn't like about the Oblivion were addressed successfully in Skyrim. Like that stupid persuasion minigame and the poor choice to make enemies scale with you as you level up for instance. But there were also some features in this game that I wish they had kept around in Skyrim, like being able to cast spells while holding a weapon. All that being said, I have to say, the best features found in both Skyrim and Oblivion are the worlds themselves. Bethesda is known for crafting super immersive environments that allow players to lose hundreds of hours within. Giving them the opportunity to craft their own unique experience with each play through. I loved losing myself within the region of Cyrodil. It felt very similar to my time playing Skyrim but unique enough that it felt fresh and new. Especially with those crisp remastered graphics combined with those dope mordor-like oblivion gates. However, in the end, I…
