About Yooka-Replaylee
Yooka-Replaylee is a vibrant 3D platformer where you guide two treasure hunters through imaginative worlds collecting magical Pagies while battling a greedy capitalist and solving challenges across doubled content and new areas. The game features overhauled gameplay with fresh moves and combos, customizable tonics for unique playstyles, retro arcade games to unlock, and a stunning orchestral score from legendary composers behind Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country.
Two unlikely treasure hunters retell the story of their greatest adventure; how they crashed their ship, discovered perhaps the most valuable book in the universe only for its Pagies to be stolen by a greedy capitalist, Capital B. Step into a wacky adventure across many fantastical and imaginative worlds, full of colourful characters and vault-loads of shiny collectibles and save the world!

Find hidden arcade games throughout the adventure and take on the puzzles, platforms and pests that he must overcome to become a video game hero himself!NEW COLLECTIBLE CURRENCY – Introducing Q.U.I.D.S! Capital B's inept minions have dropped their hard-earned coins all over the place. Collect the official currency of the Hivory Towers to spend on video games' most beloved sentient vending machine. Or undertake one of Coinelius’ many mini-challenges!NAVIGATING THE WORLD – The all-new adventurers’ notebook will help you hunt down EVERYTHING hidden in the game. Plus find bookmarks to fast-travel around and never get lost! Use your Q.U.I.D.S to buy hints to the whereabouts of more challenges – can you find all 300 magical Pagies!?VENDI HAS PLENTY TO OFFER – Tonics are back with all new flavours! With the option to equip multiple game-changing enhancements, you can truly customise and perk your playstyle. And as if that wasn't enough you can dress to impress!, Vendi has new lines of merchandise for the modern fashionable adventurer too.A DREAMY ORCHESTRAL SOUNDTRACK – The original score from famed video game composers David Wise (Donkey Kong Country), Grant Kirkhope (Banjo-Kazooie), Steve Burke (Kameo: Elements of Power) returns but as a beautifully arranged orchestral score with some new tracks from, Dan Murdoch and Matt Griffin. Now seriously, clean out those ears.

What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise this as a substantial improvement over the original, with better controls, expanded content, more collectables, and tight responsive movement that successfully captures the charm of classic N64 platformers like Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64. The main criticism centers on design choices like starting with the full moveset upfront and the confusing "Replaylee" branding, which some feel may hurt accessibility for new players and the game's long-term marketing prospects.
Ive never seen or played a remake/remaster of a game so perfectly done Story In this platformer you play as the lizard and bat BFFs Yooka And Laylee, who find an all-powerful book that rips its own pages out since a very evil man wants to capture it and use it for very evil man purposes. You go through 6 diverse and huge open world maps that you explore through parkour and puzzles to find enough pages to restore the big ol book and fight the very evil man at the end Gameplay The kit you have and use for exploration and puzzle solving works perfectly and its very satifying to move around in any map. LOVE the change where we get our entire kit of moves at the beginning. In the previous games, you'd get certain abilities at different points in the game. This resulted in a lot of backtracking later on to get to places and solve puzzles you couldnt in the first place. Now you could clear an entire map before going to the next if you so please. Not only that, but all maps have a have a huge amount of collectibles(some needed for story progression) to gather through exploration, parkour and puzzle solving. All of these collectibles have easy, moderate and harder ones and you dont need e…2 found this helpful
Yooka-Replaylee solves my main issue with 3D platformers: forced backtracking. They did this by giving you every skill available from the start so you only have your imagination and intelligence to solve the challenges the game issues. They new graphics are a very small but welcomed addition because the graphics in the first game weren't that bad to begin with. The design of the main characters is top notch. Just a word of advice if you're gonna play on steamdeck. Put the resolution on 720p to avoid framerate stutter. It won't solve it a 100% but it does make a big difference. A platformer that doesn't run at 60fps is simply unacceptable to me. Having said that, skip the first game and get this one and Impossible Lair (preferrably on GOG).1 found this helpful
They fixed it. They basically gave Yooka-Laylee the mario odyssey treatment. More collectables, more cosmetics, and a little more to do. In Yooka-Laylee I was constantly standing around wondering what the ♥♥♥♥ to do. In Replayee I'm constantly finding new stuff to do. It's way easier than the original, I was ready to fight the final boss without even seeing the last two levels. However I think that could be a strength on future playthroughs. It really lets you pick what challenges you want to do. With the new fast travel and challenge tonics the game really seems to be encouraging multiple playthroughs... and I probably will. I'm having fun! Gives me something to do while I wait for Yooka-Tooie anyway.1 found this helpful
