Tried it out briefly, unfortunately not my type of deck builder. I'm not very good at improvising in a real-time attack type of way, and it's especially difficult in the tutorial stage when you're still learning card effects in the beginner deck and enemies are knocking down your gate regardless. I can definitely see how challenging this game can become by having to make the best of your deck rng and improvising on the spot where you can. If you're the type of person that enjoys that kind of gameplay, you may thrive here. Unfortunately I myself need time to consider each action, my thunker upstairs is a lil slow.

I bought it on sale and it was definitely worth it for me. You have multiple options to run your economy and each leader results in a different build and theres quite some cards and new things to unlock. I'd recommend it if you like tower defense and are ok with a fast paced gameplay. However, if you want aslow paced gameplay where you can observe in peace, you will be disappointed. Also, unit movement can be a bit annoying/frustrating, but for the most part you units camp at the outer wall without moving so usually that is not a big problem.

Every iteration of the version brings many new design ideas, but also a lot of disappointing ones. For me, the early versions had very straightforward gameplay mechanics, providing pure joy, but now the overly complex build system makes it impossible for me to complete a game simply. It's not that I'm unwilling to experience it, but rather that there are too many mechanisms and contents that this game wants to present at present. As a result, it's almost an impossible task to keep up with the constantly increasing game pace and complete a deck of a particular genre. There also seem to be some bugs in the intensity of each game and its various waves. For example, the previous normal wave had only a dozen or so ordinary enemies, but the next wave of the same difficulty generated nearly three times as many enemies. Responding to such an intensity curve is almost impossible.

This game is about Rats/Mice. Rats hate pusssiiiiies. So stop being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and play the game for more than 2 hours before leaving a negative review. That's what a rat would do.

Okay. I REALLY want to like this game but there are some pretty big flaws in the way things work... and if not flaws some MAJOR QOL needs to happen. The biggest thing is that once the wall closes to your fort falls, you have no way to send troops quickly towards your fort to defend it. Before the walls fall, you can click the wall and move all the units either left or right to other walls to reinforce them. AFTER the walls fall, you have to click individual units and in order to move them left or right. You should be able to assign units to your fort/ main building like you do a wall. This would solve the problem above also if I could just assign units to the main fort. I enjoy the fast paced card rotation of things. The game is tough, that doesn't bother me... but there are just some aspects that seem overly tough that could be fixed by allowing military unit placements on the fort itself.
