✦ AI summary

The Gallery - Episode 1: Call of the Starseed is praised by fans as an engaging point-and-click puzzle experience with good scenery and story, though players consistently note it is quite short at around 2-3 hours. Common complaints center on the dated teleportation controls, awkward physics interactions (particularly object catching), and puzzle logic that can feel obtuse, with some experiencing motion sickness or controller compatibility issues. Most players recommend experiencing it on sale rather than at full price, viewing it more as a historical VR artifact than a must-play modern title.

very fun, very short. one of the best vr experiences ive had as a point and click / puzzle fan. buy on sale!

I bought on discount for reasons of nostalgia (to see a very early VR game). It was OK. The biggest negative for me was the teleportation; I just couldn't get used to that...horrible. Then there is the very short length. My run took 2.6h and I'm normally about 30% slower than reported averages. There was a very dated tutorial at the beginning. On the positive side, the scenery was good, the story and characters were good, the puzzles were OK (I have to see it in the light that the game was setting standards). I'm happy I had the experience, to see the beginnings of VR. I think a fair price, 10 years after release, would be something more like 3-4 EUR.

Worst controls ever. so incredibly limiting. I've tried this game 3 separate times over the last few years and its been too bad to even get passed an hour.

Back in 2016 I didn't finish the game because it was too nauseating. Now in 2025 I won't finish the game, because it's moon logic while being awkward on Meta Quest 3. Watching the walkthrough on YouTube on x4 just to find out what I missed.

The game is impressive but my Valve Index controllers seem not to be supported. I cannot catch the fuses being thrown in The Lair. I simply cannot catch them with the Valve Index controllers.

I somehow beat this and never reviewed it but I remember liking it and it being pretty.
