Unbound: Worlds Apart

9/10 This game is very nice both visually and by its portal using mechanics to get around levels. It is also very friendly to players who (like me) do not play a lot of platformers. Sadly at the end difficulty spikes way too far, so even if i managed to beat the last boss, it was impossible for me to fully finish all side quests.

This game plays pretty well, the achievements are pretty easy and it's not super long. The mechanics of changing the environment around you worked really well and was pretty creative. Give it a try.

I 100% all achievements today in around 9h. The game is unique for sure. Even thought I'm into boss fights in Metroid Vania, this game has almost not element of enemy/boss fights however it shines in its "gimmick" related platforming. Music/dialogue wasn't peak but serviceable. Wish the game was darker in atheistic atmosphere since the vivid colourful colours and animations i feel was a bit "happier" then it should be (as a comparison wish it was in the same darkish tone as the game BEFORE I GO) 7.5/10 I enjoyed my time.

WOW, this is a majestic, triumphant and vibrant game. So much ingenuity and creativity. Usually I want to attack, slaughter and kill mobs directly but the one (!) portal ability is just made so well and versatile in different areas, I never got bored or frustrated too much. It's short but any longer would've killed the vibe. Not too much backtracking, you can teleport from anywhere on the map to save shrines. There are puzzle elements, yes, and I usually don't like them, but in this case I didn't have to look up anything online - I got through on my own :) Bosses are hard but fair. You die in one hit but they usually cannot take more than three hits as well. I love this game - it's different, bold, fascinating and has a great atmosphere and soundtrack. Recommend

BRUTALLY difficult at times, but marvelous, ingenious puzzle design. Or perhaps MARVELOUS, INGENIOUS puzzle design, but brutally difficult at times. Seems rather heavily influenced by the "Ori" games, yet is still quite different from them. Very nice visual style, somewhat bare-bones but serviceable story, lotsa hidden goodies ([spoiler]lost villagers, forlorn spirits[/spoiler] that are easy to miss, but the excellent in-game map provides clues to things that you haven't found yet. Solid border around a room on the map? Prolly nothing else there! Sortuva dark haze near the edge of a room on the map? Very likely some sort of passageway is branching off there. Gradually acquiring abilities [spoiler]double-jump, dash, double-dash, etc...[/spoiler] is great, and provides a sense of accomplishment. However, this can lead to problems; I'm standing next to a pool of toxic water, and I see a ledge on the other side. I try [spoiler]double-jumping[/spoiler], but no matter how carefully I time my button presses, I always fail and die in the water.
