even though this is the objectively worse version compared to the definitive edition, it is still such a joy to play through and take in the visuals as well as the captivating and bittersweet story. you get this for free anyway. if you only play one, obviously play the definitive edition. but i do recommend you to play this after a while. it isn't a full replay like it would be normally, so it does feel ever so slightly different in case you're not a fan of replaying the same game

Es uno de esos juegos que consiguen que no solo juegues, sino que realmente sientas lo que está pasando. La historia me ha llegado muchísimo. Hay momentos en los que literalmente he terminado jugando con lágrimas en los ojos. La música, la ambientación, los personajes y la forma de contar la historia hacen que todo se sienta especial. Además, el apartado visual es precioso y el gameplay es muy satisfactorio, pero para mí lo mejor ha sido la parte emocional. Pocos juegos han conseguido transmitirme tanto y hacer que me encariñe de verdad con lo que estoy viendo en pantalla. Un juego precioso, triste, emocionante y que se me va a quedar en la memoria durante mucho tiempo. ❤️

Same review I wrote for definitive edition - get that one it has way more content. This game is genuinely so incredible. It was one of the first games I played once I had access to a computer and it holds such a special place in my heart. The music is wonderful, the visuals, the story, the world building, it's all so good. When I first started playing games I wasn't very good at boss fights and I grew to really love the chase sequences in this game, I haven't played a game with a chase scene as fun as the Ginso Tree ever. Also bash is the best ability in any game ever and more games should use it. Play this game.

RATING: 4/5 A nice adventure with a rather sad and touching story. The visuals are artsy (hand-painted style) and the controls are sharp and well implemented. As platforming goes, it is quite challenging at times, but a generous save system means it does not get frustrating. You start with the usual run and jump, but by the end of the game, you will have a ton of abilities which will allow you to breeze through the earlier parts of the map. You will do triple jumps, glides, wall jumps, charged jumps, bashes and all kinds of tricks - the fluid movement gets really fun as the game progresses.

I loved every second of Ori and the Blind Forest. It’s as fun as it is pretty, which is an incredible achievement when its one of the most gorgeous games I’ve ever seen.
