About Carrier Command: Gaea Mission
Command an armed carrier across a vast archipelago, establishing island bases and customizing your fleet to conquer enemy forces and restore humanity's hope on a distant moon. Blend tactical real-time combat with strategic base management, seamlessly switching between piloting individual units and commanding your entire network from an overhead view.
As a result of a catastrophic war between the United Earth Coalition and the Asian Pacific Alliance, Earth has been rendered an almost uninhabitable wasteland. The only hope lies in a distant planetary system, where the moon Taurus holds the key to restoring Earth's dwindling water supply. As a battle-hardened member of the surviving UEC forces, Lt Myrik is put in command of an armed vehicle carrier. By traversing the seas and establishing a network of island bases, his mission is to hunt down the enemy and conquer the Dead Zone on the planetoid Taurus.

In a word: INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING. Terrible AI ruins what should be a good concept. AI units are very stupid and get stuck, even backtracking first when you tell them to go forward. Units assist you whether you want them to or not. One of my units would be really weak, so i would park it somewhere and take command of another unit so I can clear the area, only to find out my weak unit decided to ignore my "Suspend" command and assist me and get destroyed. I really want to like this game, but the terrible AI completely ruins it.11 found this helpful
This is an increcible idea for a game. 100% love it. but the introduction/tutorial is absolute trash. If they fixed the campaign intro/tutorial it would be great. instead its a mediocre game because you have to research the tutorial, then the gameplay is incredible.3 found this helpful
I really liked the game, but the battle with the crashes was constant. I almost couldn't continue a few times, but in the last mission the crashes won and i had to watch the ending on Youtube.2 found this helpful
A flawed yet addictive sandbox but with a broken campaign Rating: Recommended (With Major Caveats) I liked this game a lot—honestly, probably more than I should. I am an absolute sucker for the RTS/simulation hybrid genre, and this scratches an itch that little other games can. It is a super niche kind of gameplay that you just can't find anywhere else. I tried Carrier Command 2 but the super low poly graphics turn me off after a while and I keep reinstalling this one. The AI is an absolute joke. Don't think you can have it do more than get to a waypoint (with great difficulty) let alone fight the enemies for you. You have to manually take over and get ♥♥♥♥ done yourself. The AI is more so there to move your units into position before you jump in and use them. This game is also incredibly frustrating at time. it struggles with newer PCs, I had to make a lot of tweaks (cap fps, window 7 compatibility mode, set affinity to 1 core, etc) to have it running without constant crashes. If you plan on playing the story mode, be prepared: finishing the campaign is an absolute exercise in patience. It is littered with bugs, and crashes (game freezes) are constant, mostly when the game will…1 found this helpful
