About Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient
Escape a quarantined hospital full of zombies and supernatural horrors while uncovering the mystery of your amnesia in this new Corpse Party adventure. This polished indie horror experience features dynamic 3D environments, environmental puzzle-solving, boss battles, and a gripping standalone story that welcomes both series veterans and newcomers.

Symptoms
Ayame Itou is just your average junior in high school. Or at least…she thinks she is. In truth, she can’t remember much about herself at all. She didn’t even remember her name until she saw it on her patient record. See, she just found herself waking from a coma, alone and in the dark, strapped to an operating table in a hospital called “Amare Patriarcha Crucis.” The hospital has been ransacked, by the looks of it – papers strewn everywhere, gurneys and boxes piled up in the halls, and not a soul in sight. And the outside exits are all either locked up tight or sealed off with steel shutters. She is completely alone and trapped…at first.
It’s not long before she discovers that there are others in the hospital with her, however. Some are friends, trapped here just as Ayame has been. Others are foes: the ones who trapped her here, and who now appear to mean her physical harm. And still others are savage, inhuman monstrosities that shouldn’t even exist in this world.
Ayame must now piece together the mystery of what happened in Amare Patriarcha Crucis, how she came to be lying comatose within its walls, and perhaps most importantly…how to escape with her life.
Set five years after the events of Corpse Party: Blood Drive, Dead Patient represents the start of a brand new storyline for the Corpse Party series: standalone, yet still building upon what’s come before. Do you have what it takes to survive the most harrowing treatment of them all?

Diagnosis
√ Brand New Episodic Horror
This time it’s not an otherworldly elementary school, but a quarantined hospital full of bloodthirsty zombies, supernatural monsters, and scornful shades of the departed upon which our story opens. Play through Chapter 1 of the Dead Patient saga, then try your hand at the included Extra Chapter 1 for another take on the story from the perspective of an old Heavenly Host acquaintance.
√ Original Indie Team’s Return to PC
The same team responsible for the 2008 Windows PC edition of Corpse Party is back to deliver the series’ most polished experience yet, with top-down 3D graphics featuring dynamic lighting, 360° control, emotional Japanese voice-acting, and one of series composer Mao Hamamoto’s moodiest soundtracks to date. Tweaked and updated several times since its initial release in 2012, this newest version of Chapter 1 – titled Corpse Party: Dead Patient NEUES; in Japan – incorporates suggestions from fans, updated features first introduced in Corpse Party: Blood Drive, revamped boss battles, additional story scenes, and a whole other perspective on the story via Extra Chapter 1. And this is only the beginning!
√ More to See and Do, and All New Characters to Do it With
Items can be equipped and used directly on the environment to solve puzzles, or held and used in Ayame’s hand to perform various functions. Ayame can also run, toss objects to distract pursuers, hide in cabinets, and more. There are even proper boss battles, for the first time since the series’ PC-98 debut in 1996! Add to this a standalone story featuring an all-new set of dramatis personae, but with numerous call-backs to the Heavenly Host story arc for returning series fans, and Dead Patient becomes the start of an exciting new era in this now storied and infamous horror franchise!

What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient is a very short game that ends after just one chapter, leaving players frustrated by its incomplete state despite a promising premise of being trapped in a hospital with survival mechanics. While some appreciate the atmospheric horror and improved stealth gameplay compared to previous entries, most reviewers are disappointed by the lack of content, poor dialogue writing, robotic character personalities, and questionable creative choices that undermine the experience.
"No way it really ends after Chapter 1, right?" It really does. A new setting, new characters, and new mechanics gave it a promising start. Then it simply never went any further.12 found this helpful
My review would be different if they actually finished the game. It has so much potential but only one chapter (technically 2 with the extra)? At least it's better than Blood Drive.5 found this helpful
Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient Review Is this even a game??? It's really, really short, and the writing is so bad that if this game was written in the actual era, I would say it's IA written. There are dialogues where the continuation and response make no sense. The characters act like robots most of the time, they have no personality. Also, why the heck are there three ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scenes involving characters ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ themselves or taking a ♥♥♥♥? The main character quite literally in the first damn minute of the game ♥♥♥♥♥ herself, and then she ♥♥♥♥♥ herself again later in the game!!! What the actual ♥♥♥♥? Why was this needed to be put in the game? For the rest of the game, she walks around with her pants dirty. It's disgusting, and if this wasn't added into the game, it would make no difference to the plot. I see no reason for this part, and it's just nasty. I got this game on sale, and even on sale, I don't recommend anyone to buy it.
:\
i like this game a lot for what it is despite only one chapter being available i reallt enjoy the plot i love the concept of being trapped in a hospital and just being confused and scared with no explanation of anything at all, i think thats what made it so scary to me the gameplay is nice basically like blood drives, run, hide, survive. however its far more manageable. while u still have stamina u can run for what seems to be an endless amount of time until ayame starts panting but i never ran far enough that i stopped being able to run, additionally enemys no longer know exactly where ur hiding maybe to their own detriment cuz their line of sight is now so small u can be five steps away and they wont see u. characters are good for what we got ritsuko was giving major karen energy the whole time but in a way that was compelling and the other characters were nice aswell despite the increibly limited screen time. user interface is pretty cool i love the item scroll wheel achievements are good, was able to 100% the game in only 2 runs but u could do it in one if u read quickly. definitely buy on sale as its litterally one chapter and a short puny little bonus one. i would hav…
