Escape from the plague
A challenging survival simulator.
STORY
History is written from the decisions made by the player. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2831893229
GAMEPLAY
The gameplay is the management of family survival in an epidemic. We are invited to make certain decisions that will have consequences. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2831893105 Consider the pros and cons of the game, sum up.
PROS:
+ Nice graphics. + Good music and sound accompaniment. + Potentially (if you manage to play) an interesting plot.
CONS:
- In my opinion - the complexity is artificially overestimated. My heroes just died and there was no way to win. At the same time, almost 30% of achievements were obtained in 11 minutes. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2831893303
CONCLUSIONS
Controversial survival simulator. On the one hand, it's well made. On the other hand, it is too difficult to play.
All in all, not a bad game.
It has a good balance between text and gameplay, and it follows historical events of that time pretty well. I recommend it if you enjoy these types of games.

The Great Plague Exodus developed and published by Priory Games is a narrative-driven survival management game that places players in the midst of one of the most devastating public health disasters in European history. Set during the Great Plague of London in 1665, the game focuses on the desperate journey of an ordinary family attempting to escape the disease-ridden city and find safety in the countryside. Blending elements of resource management, interactive storytelling, and moral decision-making, the game offers a somber experience that emphasizes survival and the human cost of historical tragedy. The narrative begins in plague-stricken London, where the disease is spreading rapidly through overcrowded neighborhoods and fear dominates daily life. As death tolls rise and quarantine measures intensify, the player must make the difficult decision to leave the city in hopes of reaching safer rural areas. However, escaping London during such a crisis is far from simple. Roads are dangerous, villages are suspicious of outsiders who might carry the infection, and basic necessities such as food and medicine are increasingly scarce. The journey that follows is not just a physical esca…

Not without it's flaws, it still creates an Oregon Trail like experience. Some repetitive "needs" and such but the novelty keeps things interesting.

I Have had the pleasure of playing this game from a small Indy game company. This game is excellent and captures history well. The storytelling and ability to progress and survive in different ways is excellent. Great job on creating this game!

Currently the game is 8 but due to a game breaking bug I'm not sure it's worth much of anything. Seems interesting from the small bit I've been able to explore, but moving time forward when in a city requires hitting a "next day" button, which every so often decides to stop working making it impossible to progress. Completely exiting the game and restarting seems to be a sort of fix but it doesn't save every turn so with that fix you're usually only progressing a turn at most in between restarts, if not being stuck in a loop of playing however man days only to exit and be sent back to the first. If this were fixed the game might be worth the money but as is After less than 20 minutes in any given save it seems to become impossible to progress.
