Wizorb

Frustratingly stupid level design from the 1980s designed to eat quarters is not something to aspire to today. Decent graphics and soundtrack, but ultimately not worth the money and that is saying something as it currently sits at 2.99 Euros. You get 3 lives and 3 continues to pass the first 8 stage "world". If you miss the ball 3 times in a row you have to burn a continue or restart the world from stage 1. This kind of level design belongs in the late 80s, early 90s. This game was released in 2012. There is no excuse.

--- I migrated my copy of Wizorb from Desura, where I made the purchase almost right at the release date (November 11th 2011). The Steam-version is somewhat enhanced, though at core it is pretty much the exact same game as it was +15-years ago. Unfortunately, Wizorb is extremely difficult to recommend nowadays primarily due to technological maintenance debt alongside some very questionable or otherwise asinine gameplay implementations. The very only reason for not giving thumbs-down is due Wizorb still being a functional game, provided one is able to workaround at least these following more notable “aneurysm”-sources: - Wizorb boots up first in an "exclusive fullscreen"-mode which can severely mess up multi-monitor setups, especially while actively multitasking: I've had to "reset" my main-monitor several times due to this game disrupting the (mini-)DisplayPort signal while having Youtube-videos (on Microsoft Edge-browser) playing on my secondary monitor. The game-client will eventually switch into proper windowed-mode afterwards. But each boot-up is a matter of hopes & dreams of the system not crashing (at least in my case). - Achievement-hunting-wise many of the mechanics can …

Really pretty but sorta boring

Very fun game that has great re-playability.

As someone that has not really ever played brick breaker or pong.. this is a tough game.

Apparently I could have visited the town and rebuild it but i just played the game from start to finish. It's breakout with some enemies and boss fights. It's fun if you like breakout.
