Malware Derby

I really like the controls, they are simple and work really well but I dislike almost everything else. The style of the game and the musics are pretty good too. There is 28 arenas but they all feel the same and are very small. You have a random powerup spawner in the middle, some walls around it and environmental hazards like lasers and fires that can damage the cars most of the time located in the edges of the map. There is no reward for exploration since the spawner is alway in the middle, there isn't several of them and there is no destructible walls or anything like that. The powerups aren't very satisfying to use. One give you extra speed but you don't care because the arenas are super cramped anyway. There is one that give you youre special but the way it work is meh. You press right mouse button then you see youre character appear in youre screen and every opponent on the map instantly die from what I understand. Would've been cool if every character had a different specials and also if you would have to aim with it instead of just killing everybody on the spot. The presentation is absolutely amazing. I love the art style, the pixel graphics and the sound design. The story is weird in an endearing way. You quickly end up relying on the same tactics to push through levels, which gets a little dull when the level length starts stretching out to ten minutes and you're still in a teeny tiny arena. The gameplay is fun, but a simple rebalance so damage is dealt faster and the levels are shorter would fix any complaint I have. Looking forward to more stuff from you!
