Siegebreaker

I finished with all achievement. It's a tower defense game that remind me of Element TD. Every tower have a certain purpose. Love the balance of difficulty in this game. Not hard, but chalenging enough.

Great tower defense game, good visuals and mechanics.

I was not quite sure what to expect with Siegebreaker, but the game I played certainly was not was I expecting -- and in a very good way. It's really quite amazing to see what Indie games can do with developers who are smart going in, and Siegebreaker most certainly had a great deal of foresight and detail woven into its creation. The game is a standard tower defense on one hand, but on the other it's a sort of free-form puzzle game with a great level of care and thought put into each and every level. While most tower defense games have grids with regions of predefintion, Siegebreaker opts for hand-picked, finite tower placements with only 5 base tower archetypes; at first glance it seems simple, and yet there is actually quite a lot of intelligence and strategy required to put all your tools to use. Some maps I nailed first try, others took quite a few attempts with a certain few "oh come on!" grumbles as I scratched my head figuring out how best to approach the map's peculiarities. At right around 8 hours from start to finish, the hours-per-dollar spent are not too terribly great, but what gameplay you do get is extremely high quality and well worth an on-sale purchase. Really great. Will surely come back to this later. Played through it and enjoyed all the content a lot. Gave me a few hours of TD pleasure and I've been TD'ing a LONG LONG time.
