About Sin; Vengeance

"...this is the reality of war. The darkness of men.
It is but a means to an end. The sooner you accept
that, the easier things will be for you."

After the tragic destruction of your home, you form an army in search of vengeance.

How far are you willing to go to satisfy your grievance?

Will there be forgiveness and penance?

Or will you be wrath incarnate, and destroy your enemies with pure malice and ruthlessness?

In this SRPG, lead your army, and make your own choice that changes the outcome of the game.

✦ AI summary

Sin: Vengeance offers solid tactical gameplay with branching story paths and decent strategic depth, though it suffers from limited progression systems and frustratingly unbalanced late-game encounters where enemy ranged units significantly outrange your troops. Players appreciate the mechanics and early-game variety, but criticize the lack of meaningful upgrades, static enemy levels, and repetitive defensive map design that relies too heavily on overpowered siege weapons.

There's some good room for tactics, though the late game features several annoying maps with defensive walls covered in "siege archers" or ballistas, both of which tend to outrange all your troops. In most of them, you even have to sweep the walls and kill all of them, not just run through, making it even more annoying. Story-wise, however, Sin; Vengeance truly stands out. Basically everyone in the entire game is a raging arsehat, or dies in order to make the raging arsehats even more angry and murderous. The writing is overblown as well, but in a somewhat amusing way - "the silver platter of a satisfi…
