You can't erase memories forever! It would be like erasing time itself
I tried playing this psychological horror game on the day of release, but it was too buggy, and the controls were so clunky that I had to drop it. Fast forward to this month: since I'd learned there would be a new and final game in this trilogy, I gave this game another go, and it was actually really good! This is a prequel to the previous game, Tormented Fathers, set in 1973, where you play as Jennifer, a rebellious orphan barely 15 years old. She works as a maid in Ashmann Inn, where things start to seem strange, especially when the speakers play a sound that changes everything around Jennifer. She tried to flee the inn but got stuck there and witnessed horrific creatures, and it all linked to one thing she kept on stumbling upon, Phenoxyl. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3800067202 Gameplay is similar to the previous one; it relies purely on stealth, as Jennifer cannot attack whoever is stalking her. At some point, you'll find weapons to defend yourself, but you mostly run and hide. There are multiple items you can pick up to use as distractions for whoever is following you…

This game is absolut edogshit, avoid at all cost. So far I am yet to find any fun in it, it is just frustrating me at every step. [*] unresponsive inputs [*] stupid autosaving, where for some reason instead of creating new autosaves (because there are like 7 slots for them) it is just overriding the newest one, so if you need to reload autosave that was before the last newest one, you will lose even hour of gameplay [*] manual saves are very seldom [*] this game´s idea of a "puzzle" is to not tell you what your objective is, not tell you that theere is a puzzle, and not give you any clues,... I am getting stuck every 10 minutes for over half an hour just because I have no freaking clue what the game even wants from me [*] it is near impossible to keep track of collectible items because the "collectible" section of teh inventory is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ [*] "combat" is unresponsive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ [*] bad visuals [*] weird voices that change intonation and volume between sentences

A psychological horror adventure delivers a strong atmosphere built around mystery, tension, and environmental storytelling. Exploration through a secluded hotel reveals a world filled with secrets, fragmented memories, and unsettling discoveries. Each new area adds another piece to a larger narrative, creating a constant sense of curiosity and suspense throughout the journey. Stealth mechanics and resource management encourage careful movement and thoughtful decision making. Dangerous encounters create tension without relying solely on direct combat, making observation and planning important parts of progression. Environmental details, notes, and story elements gradually expand the narrative, rewarding exploration and attention to detail. Detailed environments, atmospheric sound design, and an intriguing story help create a memorable horror experience. Themes of memory, trauma, and hidden truths are woven throughout the adventure, giving additional depth to the narrative. The result is an engaging survival horror journey that combines exploration, suspense, and storytelling into a distinctive and immersive experience.
Wow, what a terrible game
The first game was great, which is why I decided to buy the second one. Unfortunately, the second game is worse in pretty much every way. The story feels completely disconnected. A lot of things are simply skipped in the cutscenes, while other things make absolutely no sense. At some point, I stopped caring about the story because I was just trying to figure out what was even going on. The level design and enemy design are also pretty bad. Instead of having fun, I just wanted the game to end. 6 hours of my life wasted.

I personally had a really enjoyable experience with Remothered: Broken Porcelain. It may not be a perfect game but I genuinely appreciate the creepy atmosphere, interesting story & the constant feeling of tension while playin. There were moments that rlly made me feel nervous and unsure of what was going to happen next, which is exactly what I freaking enjoy in a horror game. I also liked how the game tried to create a more psychological and cinematic horror experience. Overall, I’m glad I played it & I think it deserves more appreciation frm horror fans. If ya enjoy dark, suspenseful, and story-driven horror games, I'd undoubtedly recommend giving it a try!

This game has many technical problems and is very unpolished, but it's probably the result of a very low budget. If you can put that aside, you will enjoy a marvelous and deeply emotional story that answers many of the questions left by the first game and with lots of plot twists too! Don't listen to those who hate on the game, it's still more enjoyable than you may think! This series is very beloved by me and it has a special place in my heart. I hope the third game will be just as good. 7/10
