About Airstrife: Assault of the Aviators

Aileron Rolling / Evading Bullets and Missiles
A much realistic approach in top down shooters, where you not only evade bullets by basic controls, but you use Aileron Rolling to evade these.

Each Side of the Plane has its Own Health
There's a health for the left, middle, and right side of the plane with clear indications on which are in danger and might cause your plane to crash!

Enemies Coming from ALL Directions
Why just have enemies coming from the top, if you can have them from all sides - just like how a real plane battle would be!

Ammos and Missiles that Deplete
Having ammunition and missiles being depleted gives a more depth and difficulty to the game with a realism in mind.

Airstrife: Assault of the Aviators is a modern re-invented vertical shoot em up game that allows you to fly your plane, dodge bullets and missiles, upgrade your plane's parts, research for more weapons, and explore a beautifully hand-drawn vast world. The game features a souls-like take on the shoot em up platform with an engaging story for you to discover.

✦ AI summary

Players appreciate the game's challenging co-op experience and nostalgic retro aesthetic, with multiplayer being a significant strength that makes the game more enjoyable. However, common complaints include the high price, poor UI design, limited weapon variety, inability to remap controls, and graphics that feel dated even for a retro title, with solo play being notably less engaging than cooperative sessions.

It's really more fun with friends! Solo is kind of boring to play this game. Interesting graphics from the old days, challenging game requiring attention. But the price, of course, is high.

The UI is ATROCIOUS! Other than that game is cute but a bit unbalanced in some aspects. Fun, a bit frustrating. I would like to have a neutral vote on Steam but... is a barely thumb up.

We really enjoyed playing this co-op title on our stream and got pretty caught up with the challenge! Watch the stream sponsored by Catapult here: https://youtu.be/ylLbU9K2TFU You can tell it is a title made with a lot of love for the genre!

This is not a NO, nor a YES, it's more like a NEUTRAL vote for me. I think it's not a bad game, but it wasn't what I wanted. I didn't liked the controls layout. It could have the ability to remap keys. It crashed once, while being in the hangar then changing to missions and going to the explore mission. Being so limited on weapons (secondary weapons I mean) didn't grow on me. I didn't test the multiplayer aspect of it, as I play most of my games mainly as single-player, but I think there the game could be better. I give it a 3 of 5 stars, for me at least. I hope the game is developed further though. I hope you do well devs.

Not bad 2D game. Reminds of mobile games on the phone that many had in childhood. You play as an airplane and must destroy enemy units.
