Red Line

I first tried this game through the Steam demo last year, and even at that point, I remember genuinely feeling afraid to play it. The ambience, the way the atmosphere was constructed, the audio scoring, and especially the visual staging were all really effective. There was a strong sense of intentionality in how the game presented each scene. Although, for some reason, I have this vague memory that there was a scene in the demo that didn’t make it into the final release. I might be misremembering it, though. As for the final release, I really enjoyed the game. I especially liked the puzzle design, level design, and the way the different endings eventually tie everything together. There’s a satisfying sense of conclusion when you look at the endings as a whole. My only real criticism is that there are moments where I felt the game could have gone a little deeper into the characters backgrounds and motivations. There were times when I wanted to understand more about why certain characters behaved the way they did. Maybe some of that context was already there and I simply missed it, but I occasionally felt that the characterization could have used a little more depth. That said, c…

I love love love this game! The artstyle is so cute, but that might just be my preference of course. Even so, as long as you're into anime artstyle you would have no problems with it at all. The cast is small but charming, and I quickly fell in love with the two FLs even if they are very much opposites of each other. They are very much 'girl friendship' coded, so if that's your thing I believe you would enjoy playing as them, too. Some of the sound effects were quite loud, and the little jumpscares made me turn on the lights as I played (but that's pretty much typical of me). Most of all, the writing sound effects are so satisfying, it really tickles my ears ... Since this is a Chinese game, it's fair to worry about the English localization, but they're really good! The jokes (the few that are there, at least) all land and I had a looot of fun binging the game. I really, really do recommend everyone to play it, for all the right reasons I stated above!!!!! I love horror RPGs so much, they're pretty much all the games I play nowadays >~< Too much of a wimp for 3D horror, but way too into horror to give it up completely lmao

Boring. Nothing but reading.

This game is probably one of the best RPG horror I have played in a long while. The story seems complex at the beginning, but as you go on, the story becomes more clear. The protagonists are also not the same copy-paste archetype you typically seem in an ghost adventure game. The two main leads are really enjoyable, and their backstories do help establish their character. The overall concept, very stellar. The characters were very loveable and (unfortunately) very relatable. This is a wonderfully crafted game, and I would maybe suggest this to be someone's first RPG horror game. My only complaint with the English version is that sometimes, when you interact with an object multiple times, the text will appear in mandarin. This doesn't interrupt the game, but for the folks who don't know mandarin, it might be a bit annoying. If you face some bugs that make the game seem unplayable in the English version, be sure to just reload the game, and you are golden.
