Go Home Annie: An SCP Game

Solid game. The voiceover was good, the puzzles were great, and optimization was done right with very good graphics. The story was okay, light on horror, and I wanted to use more of the camcorder in the game.

After looking at the reviews, I didn't know what to expect. Yet, I played through the whole game and truly can say this is by far one of the best horror/SCP Games I've ever played! The plot was amazing, the puzzles weren't to difficult, the jump scares were on point, and the entire game kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time the more I played I couldn't stop and spent a majority of my day playing. I am a huge fan of SCP, however I will say even if you know nothing of SCP and the fan lore about it, you could still enjoy the game as it explains very well in detail all the SCP's you encounter and the game mechanics are truly astounding with some of the puzzles you encounter, always looking around waiting for something to happen. Overall, I can say this game is truly amazing and you will get lost in it easily, just remember this when reading reviews overall on steam, even my own. Make your own decision and give it a try, all games can get refunded before 2 hours into it so make your own adventure in this incredible experience. Really would love to see more games made from Misfit Village.

I finished the game in one day. The start looks and sounds amazing, but the more you play, the cheaper it feels. The camera model looks like it is from another universe compared to the good graphics. The story has huge empty spots. Why am I running through an upside down office just to meet a giant meatball? It makes zero sense and just pads the game length. When the lockdown starts, there are no people, no protocol, and you just stay stuck in a lobby with zero explanation. Having SCP in the title is a joke. A talking bathtub and some bananas are not what SCP is about. Where are the massive containment breaches and terrifying monsters? The game shifts too much into a weird dream fantasy and 90 percent of it is boring. They ask 20 euros for a cut, unfinished game. I gave it a 4.5 out of 10 and I am never touching it again. Also fix the bug where the autosave triggers right when you die so you are stuck in a loop. Maybe worth 7 to 10 euros on sale, but for 20 euros, hard pass.

Story starts off pretty bad, becomes mid by the climax, and then falls down flat in the ending + as a cherry on top there is a cliff hanger after the credits which ends up feeling shallow after the unsatisfying finally. Over all the plot feels a bit random, rushed, and all over the place. All would be forgiven if for the game-play however this is mostly a narrative game which I personally like but once again the plot is mehh, and the game-play elements that are present feel more annoying then enjoyable. TBH I have mixed feelings on this. while the idea was interesting, the gameplay and story felt lacking. I was expecting more from it for $20.
