Total War: PHARAOH DYNASTIES

It's an amazing experience,would recommend to any Total War fan,coming from a hardcore Total War Attila player of 10 years now and just as much Rome 2.Egypt is my favorite ancient setting so you can tell it's a big part of why I love it.

I've liked many of the Total War series but feel they're taking it in bad directions. Problems with Pharaoh include the need to keep making repetitive trade deals to keep your supply of resources coming, overly elaborate management such as the upkeep rules which penalize the player for raising armies, the fact that the game has influence, prestige, and legitimacy ratings which all seem to overlap, and a palace intrigue system which seems to have almost no effect on the outcome of a campaign because everyone will eventually turn against you no matter whether you oppose or assist them. There's a "power of the crown" thing which I haven't even figured out what it does yet. There's the weird fact that the major playable factions all start as underlings beholden to some lord you eventually have to rebel against. While the maximum size of an army is 20 units and the upkeep rules make raising additional armies difficult, city defenses get free units not just from garrisons but from outlying settlements, to the point that when I attacked one city I found that my 20 attackers would have to overcome no less than 42 defending units, which is just ridiculous. Game is ♥♥♥♥, there is so many things popping up in the 1st 10 minutes you need a degree in engineering, physics, medicine and space rocket to play, total war? no more like total chaos management, spend 10 hours talking to AI to understand all the ♥♥♥♥ the game mechanics throw in your face, have 1 army with 5 cities to manage and 10 thousand outposts, might as well play sim city, ♥♥♥♥ this game
