AI Tycoon

This used to be a fun little clicker called Install Fee Tycoon, but the dev rebranded it with this AI crap so that it looks like I spent a bunch of time in this instead of a game about one brief bad time for Unity. I could technically access it through a branch, but this game should've been a separate release.

A friend discovered this rebrand looking through my steam games and pointed it out to me. I don't think I particularly really enjoyed the game at the time, but not enough that I felt like leaving a negative review or anything. I'm not terribly offended by the use of AI to satirize it (although retroactively using AI does kinda make the AI disclosure moot if you've already bought it, which is obnoxious). Mainly, I just feel like reskinning your mediocre idle game to whatever the current discourse is about is really lazy and and kind of hack behavior.

I didn't even know the game got rebranded. Now it's just AI Slop, at least give people an option to rollback to the previous version. What an absolute joke.

Was called 'Install Fee Tycoon', a bare-bones clicker game, with vague 'line go up'-type satire that somehow passes for a story. It wasn't a good experience, with incrementing progress stalling out after 90 minutes or so. Don't recommend. Somewhat recently, the game got rebranded to 'AI Tycoon', using AI to criticize AI. It's a bad look to rebrand your entire game just to fit a new trend, just look at the history of Gene Shift Auto for a good example of that. It's also pretty dumb to use AI to mock or criticize AI (it's also unnecessary).
