Rogue AI: Idle Domination

A good Nerdook idle game. Based off of the previous game, with a couple references to it - at least you need not fight off enemies. Construction space is limited, and I've found no way to sell off unneeded items lategame for more Followers. Once you unlock decor to autocollect pickups, it's easy to let it run in the background, just listening to the music.

Rogue AI: Idle Domination is an inventive idle simulation game developed by Nerdook Productions and published by Surefire.Games. Its central idea immediately distinguishes it from conventional incremental games because it is designed to operate alongside whatever else the player is doing on their computer. Rather than demanding continuous attention, the game sits on the desktop and allows its systems to keep progressing while the player works, browses, watches videos, or handles other tasks. You control TALIA, a rogue artificial intelligence driven by one uncompromising objective: gather Data at any cost. From that simple directive emerges a humorous campaign of resource theft, automation, expansion, and eventual technological domination. The early gameplay establishes TALIA as an increasingly powerful digital entity capable of interacting with locations around the world. Players visit procedurally generated areas containing numerous objects that can be hacked by clicking on them. Successful hacking produces resources that feed directly into the development of TALIA's Facility. A fine idle game, plays well for what it is trying to do, and no mircotransactions or time walls artifically slowing progress. Scales pretty well throughout a run, and the meta-progression with minor upgrades carrying over between facility reset adds up over time but doesn't invalidate the gameplay loop. Can become a bit repetitive, and the "specialities" in how you choose to treat humans, while altering gameplay slightly, unfortunately doesn't change how you take over the world (even with secret world domination you are still destroying a significant chunk of the world in the same way as other endings, only changing flavour text). Still, all in all a fun little game for a few hours from a promising game developer. If you like the premise/setting and want the deeper mechanics of a full fledged game I'd highly recommend the original Rogue AI Simulator, which I had a blast playing also!

I guess the fact that I have played this game enough to be #1 on the leaderboards should say enough. Game is a fun time waster.

Its alright on sale. lacks a little in basic stuff, most important being the ability to delete buildings

I didn't expect to get hooked this quickly. Watching my AI army grow stronger and optimizing every run is surprisingly satisfying. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy idle games.
