About Finn JRPG
Finn JRPG is a turn-based RPG set in low fantasy inspired by Finnish mythology where you grind monsters for gold and gear to progressively upgrade your party and tackle tougher challenges. Its relentless pacing eliminates downtime between actions, making it equally suited for casual play or speedrunning on any device including Steam Deck.
Grind mobs for gold and gear in a setting based on old Finnish mythology, then upgrade your party to advance to stronger areas.
Defeat monsters, then invest gold in stores to upgrade your characters to be able to defeat stronger monsters.
Zero instances of downtime between player inputs and gameplay for the entire duration of the game, optimal for casual play as well as speedrunning.
Fully playable with Controllers and Steam Deck.
Created by a single developer on a shoe-string budget.

When dying in battle you don’t even lose, instead continue to run around with 0hp and instantly lose every battle. XD6 found this helpful
This is... fine. For a buck and a half, I can't hate on it too much. But it's very threadbare overall, and when you walk around the character will just... stop? at random. Really couldn't get into it. It just didn't feel intuitive and fun to play. Won't pretend I spent a ton of time playing it but a lack of XP/level-up structure really robs the game of a certain sense of progress that I think you really need. It feels like a really great proof of concept but not a particularly satisfying game. The battle graphics are cute and honestly pretty great, that art style is enjoyable but the overworld/exploration map is janky looking and just meh. No disrespect meant whatsoever, I'm sure it took a ton of hard work and skill to build, but just didn't enjoy it, even for $1.50.
