Corridor Exit 8

This is game is essentially a lazy rip-off of the original The Exit 8. However, it seems to be missing entirely the point of the original game. It has nothing of the uncanny and unsettling vibes of it, and without them, all that's left is just a "find the differences" game. Textures and animations are very low quality, so you don't even enjoy the environment. All you have is a couple of corridors with some randomly-placed stuff. This feels like a student project rushed using AI just before the deadline. Honestly, I wouldn't bother leaving a negative review if it weren't for the obvious attempt of capitalizing over the success of another (much better) game.

Corridor Exit 8 builds on the familiar loop of traversing repetitive corridors and seeking out anomalies, offering an experience that will appeal most to fans of “find the difference” and anomaly-spotting games. Its core gameplay revolves around observation and memory, challenging you to notice subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) changes within the environment as you progress. The tension mounts as you become hyper-aware of your surroundings, making it easy for even small anomalies to throw you off balance and keep you engaged throughout your run. However, when compared to standout titles in the genre, Corridor Exit 8 struggles to fully capture the unnerving, uncanny atmosphere that defines its inspirations. The environments here feel more functional than immersive, with textures and animations that lean toward simplicity. While some might find the minimalist approach effective, others may feel that it lacks the visual polish and narrative depth that elevate similar games. Anomaly design is a mixed bag. While hunting for differences does satisfy a certain puzzle itch, repetition of objects—like the recurring bone or ever-moving skull—can detract from the sense of discovery. …

First level's solid Exit fun :) The second level feels way too hard in regards to spotting any anomalies, the assets used look inconsistent and unpolished. This part urgently needs some love. Totally worth the price ask as with almost any title in this beloved genre, of course.

Corridor Exit 8 manages to turn a simple concept. Walking through a repetitive corridor into something deeply unsettling and thought-provoking. Every step feels tense, every anomaly catches your eye, and the minimalist design perfectly amplifies the psychological pressure. I love it 👌👌

A well made Anomaly game. I see no apparent issues or bugs, seems very well designed. I enjoy anomaly hunting games and I have played a lot of them. I prefer the games where every anomaly is unique. Unfortunately, something that is done too often like in this game, is the reuse of a game object over and over. In this case it was during the second level. The Bone that changed which cell it was in and the skull which was resized and re-positioned around the map. Being only 20 anomalies per level, I would have liked to have seen something unique, not the same object moving to different places 4 times. Still a fun game to play and affordable.

Simple and wonderful. Thoroughly happy that I purchased this one! Completely unexpected....
