I just finished Necrologium, and I had a really good time with it. Yes, it’s a short game, but it was genuinely fun from start to finish. The mix of story, investigation, and puzzle solving kept me engaged the whole time. Examining the bodies, looking for clues, and slowly piecing together what happened to the victims was really satisfying. I also have to admit something: I weirdly enjoy autopsy games. Maybe that’s my slightly morbid side talking… haha. But this one really scratched that itch. The atmosphere is dark and mysterious, and uncovering each character’s story made the investigation feel meaningful. The puzzles were enjoyable and fit nicely with the narrative, and I liked how the investigation slowly revealed the bigger picture. My only “complaint” is that I simply wanted more of it. I would absolutely play a longer version or even more cases in the future. Short, but definitely worth the experience if you enjoy story-driven mystery and investigative puzzle games.

A great premise for a game executed very well! Story is very good. Keeps a level of intrigue throughout but doesn't feel like it's just stringing you along. A great murder mystery. Art style is fantastic and really adds to the atmosphere of it all. The process of examining the bodies and determining the cause of death is fun. Doesn't overload you with things to inspect, but doesn't just give you the answers either. A couple complaints: Biggest one is that the game crashed at one point, which led to me getting softlocked. In order to fix it, I had to start a new game from scratch. Thankfully, the game isn't long, and I could get back to where I was fairly quickly. The length is the other complaint, however. Even with me having to reset, I was able to beat it in just under 2 hours. I don't mind shorter games, but I do wish there was more to this one. The pace the story moves is a little too quick, in my opinion. I know the whole point of the game was to have the player only in the autopsy room, but giving things a little more time to breathe between those would've been nice. That being said, the game also left me wanting more in the positive way too. I will certainly be keeping …

Felt like (particularly for the selection of the "sin" of the victim and some of the wording of the motives) there wasn't enough information provided for it to feel like detective work rather than guessing and conjecture.

A very cleverly done game, with the right amount of struggle but also enough ''suggestions'' to help get you by, gets you thinking. Would play again if I didn't remember it.

Very well made! Great story to dive into and unravel. The playtime is super doable and the mechanics and logic behind the investigation surely isn't too difficult. Glad I experienced this little indie gem!

The game does have some interesting aspects, such as the attempt at an engaging narrative, the fairly well-crafted plot, the setting and the blend of the occult and forensic pathology. However, there are major flaws, one of which is the game’s length; it is too short and rushed. While there are certainly things I liked, I think a game of this kind should be explored in greater depth and be more complete and complex. Alternatively, if it is to remain as it is, it should be free. I recommend it if you want to satisfy your curiosity without having too many expectations.
