TRACE Definitive Edition

The artsyle is what first grabbed my attention about this game when I saw some of Colorbombs lovely renders on twitter. They enticed me enought to try the game and I;m so glad I did :D I've never played many point and click puzzle games but theres no way there all THIS GOOD I was able to feel so smart about myself at so many moments I loved getting those eureka moments the puzzles were so fun. Very good game I hope he adds even more planets in future :>

Challenging in a fun think outside the box way. If you think you are stuck, you aren't. The game is very fair and gives you all the clues you need. Great atmosphere. I wish more escape room games were like this. Top of it's class.

Highly recommend. Initially I bought this because I loved Trace, having played it through, wanting to support the creator. I was somewhat underwhelmed because it was advertised as "definitive edition" but I remembered a lot of the puzzles from the playthrough before. At some point a bug or some other quirk impeded my continuation of the game and I didn't pick it up again. Now, with the addition of SHAPE, I'm VERY pleased with this purchase. An all new included free game update (this time straight to Steam, so no chance of double play). It is VERY good. This man knows how to make a puzzle. I really loved the threads to pick up and the way logic is taught step by step, I like the planting of early seeds with unusable elements for it to just *click* at the end. Excellent endeavor! A couple of practical things that happened that could use some improving: In "Trace", I found the camera and sound options menu very distracting, often misclicking when I was navigating the space, maybe these games are made to play calmly, at the time I thought a click to bring up these windows would be helpful. It didn't bother me as much or at all while playing "Shape", though, so maybe I've calme…

I'm going to start with the negative. The developers pushed an update that completely erased my save mid when I was about 75% done with the entire game. It was extremely annoying, especially learning the cause was that in the save file the is a flag that says SaveFileExist and it was mistakenly set to false... Why that flag even exists is beyond me, but applying the dev's fix didn't resolve the issue. 3 days without a solution and I just ended up playing the game from the beginning. Honestly, I'd give the game 3/5 stars for the experience. It's a good game with a ruined experience from a bad update. With all that I still recommend the game. I doubt you will encounter the same save deleting issue I did. So with issue resolved I can say the game legit fun with a ton of AHA! moments.

I've played all of the Colorbomb games and am always excited when I know a new one is in the works! The newest one, SHAPE does not disappoint. They can be trickier in that you may have to think beyond the "Click" to solve but always worth it.

An excellent and maybe even master class escape room game with various puzzles that were honesty pretty difficult. It is a must play in my opinion in terms of puzzle/escape room game. However, the optimization is not that great, Sometimes the shader break and the screen turns black. There are lags every time entering a different room. And there isnt any option to lower the graphic as well.
