Class of Heroes: Anniversary Edition

Slow but satisfying progression. It's taken me about 3h of tentatively dipping into the novice dungeon to be able to reliably explore there, but every level up feels impactful and every new piece of gear makes a big difference. A monster dropped a +7 sling, and now my thief is tearing up enemies from the back row.

This game has absolutely ZERO challenge. 0. None. I'm a HUGE fan of JRPG's and dungeon crawlers. The Wizardry series, Etrian Odyssey, Saviors of Sapphire Wings, stuff like that. This game will vaguely resemble the other games, but offer none of the challenge. Enemies are completely unmemorable. There's no point to number crunching and min maxing since you can just auto-battle your way through every fight. Heck, even my WIZARDS and PSIONS stand in the front of the party! That's how bad the combat challenges are designed! 20 hours into the game and I'm ready to set the game down as a $7 loss and never pick it up again since I bought it on a sale.

It's nice to know that after 12 hours of gameplay on easy mode, I can still get one-shotted by regular mobs... Also, the in-game weapon/gear ''Campus Store'' that never renews its stock is just whack. I understand that it forces you to make your own equipment via Alchemist, but that solution is almost as expensive as getting it from the Store.... maybe I'm just a bad gamer, idk. No hate though, if you enjoy this game, good on you. Cheers!
