SENRAN KAGURA ESTIVAL VERSUS

When it comes to Musou games, I already lower my expectations a bit. They’re usually the kind of games you can play without thinking too much (Of course, not every Musou game is like this, some can actually be pretty challenging). But even with my low expectations, this game still managed to bore me. It’s super repetitive, doesn’t really bring anything new to the table, and you’ll probably get bored pretty quickly. After a while, it’s basically just the same thing over and over again. The only thing I can give it credit for is the fan service. The lewd scenes are pretty decent, I guess. But even those get boring after seeing them repeatedly.

I do really like the game and think its fun, I had it since 2022 and i decited to go back to it only to find it out crashes when trying to make a lobby, this is why you need mutiplayer modes with bots offline otherwise this stuff happens, I doubt it will be fixed since the games almost 10 years old now and a new game has not been out in 5 years, its annoying since I really enjoy it and just wanna play against bots.

This game is much better than Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus, which I previously reviewed. That said, it is still a mixed bag. It had several of the same issues, including a camera that tends to get stuck behind walls and scenery. Any map with hills is a pain in the ass to deal with, because if you try and lock onto an enemy, the camera will almost screw up at least once during the fight. On the other hand, it is a lot rarer to be juggled by your enemy, so you won’t take too much damage while this is happening. Also, the vast majority of achievements are a lot easier to get and there’s very little grinding. That is until you try to get everything in the store. You need to complete all of the Creative Finishers to unlock the videos in the store. Many of them are harder to miss than collect, but some of them are such a pain in the ass that I didn’t even try to get them all. I’m a completionist and I’m not even trying, that’s how bad it is. There’s enough entertainment here to be worth picking up, if it is on sale.
